History of the Dragonry

Long ago, dragons and other magical creatures thrived in this part of the earth, and the people entered a golden age. They lived in harmony with the many dragons, fire lizards, and other mystic beings. However, one man did not believe in peace and mutual respect. He hated the magical creatures that shared the earth with him. In hopes of gaining power, the man succumbed to Greed, causing him to grow old, and full of hatred.

Eventually, the man's heart did nothing but keep him alive, and his soul was destroyed into nothingness. His name was Galderon. Galderon blamed the magical creatures for his unhappiness, and set out to erase them from the earth. Soon, all those magical creatures who wished to survive were forced to retreat into caves and live in the harsh mountains, for Galderon was influential and had many followers. The Golden Age was over. After wreaking havoc on the earth for twenty years, Galderon was killed by an elf youth named Kinloc. However, the damage had already been done. No magical being could be found, not even a fire lizard. So, desperate to restore the earth to its once grand state, Kinloc founded the Dragonry, the place where he began his dragon repopulation project. It has been quite successful in bringing back the dragons of long ago. Kinloc, however, says it is nothing compared to what this area once was. He still remains hopeful, though, and hopes that his son Daemonar and his grandson Florian will carry on his legacy.
