Chapter 19: Getting Closer to Christmas Break
The first semester had gone by pretty quick. After school and on weekends, Hanson would work on their album in the local recording studio, and Crazy 8 would be in our garage practicing and writing new songs. By Thanksgiving, we had 25 songs. We were doing pretty good! It was now December. Presentations were over, and we had 2 weeks of school left before Christmas break. Taylor did join the high school choir since he was really interested in the choir, and really wanted to sing. The middle school class did have a choir, but none of Crazy 8 joined it since we were a band, and we didn't want to sing with the choir anyway.
It was Thursday, December 9, and the entire middle school class walked to the high school so we could swim as part of PE. We had lots of fun swimming, and Taylor was 1 of the life guards there. There were things I didn't know about Tay, like him being a life guard, but oh well! When the whole middle school class got into the pool, Crazy 8 and Zac just played around. Most of the time Zac and I were splahing each other, dunking each other, and stealing the water matts. Everybody had a lot of fun swimming.

On the 14th, the high school had a choir concert. My family, and the Hansons went together. Zac and I sat next to each other when we all got to the auditorium. Taylor was with the Encore and the Esprit de Corps choir groups. The Esprit de Corps group is only for guys, and the guys would sing, and do funny dances. Riece was with the Cantabile group. Last year, Riece was with Concert choir, but she wanted to change groups this year. I could see that Walker and Diana were proud of Tay for joining the choir, and I could see that Tay really enjoyed being in the choir. The 5 different choir groups sang well, and the audience had really enjoyed the concert. Zac and I both had really liked the Esprit de Corps group the most since the guys were so funny! The concert went on for 2 hours. All the choir groups sang Christmas songs. One of the songs the Esprit de Corps group sang was Hanson's 'Christmas Time.' Tay had suggested the group sing that song with Tay singing lead, and the group agreed to sing it.
After the concert, we all went home again. Tay had really liked the concert. He told us that he loved being in the choir, and would like to be in the choir again next year. The Hansons went to their house while mom, dad, Riece, and I went into ours. We all went to bed since we were tired.

The next day, the Encore choir group went to WLC school to do a few songs for everybody there. So Tay was singing with the choir again for schools. The middle school class was in the back of the media center, and of course, Crazy 8 and Zac sat together with Zac and me sitting next to each other. The choir sang for about half an hour, and left the school. Then everybody at school did their school works for the rest of the day.
