"What do you mean what is he doing here?" Kristen asked angrily.
"I mean what the hell is AJ doing in your apartment alone with you?" Nick said with his voice raising.
"I cooked him dinner is that a crime?"
"Why would you be cooking him dinner? You're not cheating on me with him the second day we are going out are you?"
"I can't believe you Carter! Why the hell would you even think that?" Kristen yelled at him.
"Well you cook him dinner and it's only you two here!"
"That's because Cassie and Angela are at work! I can't believe you actually think that I would cheat on you as soon as we started going out or that I would cheat on you at all!"
"Well what the hell am I supposed to think when my girlfriend doesn't answer the phone so I go to her apartment and see her with another guy alone!"
"All we were doing was eating dinner!"
"Why would you cook him dinner?"
"Why would it be any of your damn business what I do with my friends? That's all AJ is! AJ is a fucking friend!" Kristen yelled at ran to her room with tears coming out of her eyes.
"What the hell do you think you are doing Nick?" AJ asked.
"I don't know I just thought that..."
"You thought that your girlfriend who happens to like you very much would cheat on you with one of your best friends and your best friend would actually betray you."
"Shit, I guess I messed up," Nick said looking down.
"Yeah I guess you did. Your past two girlfriends you have lost because of your jealousy. You always thought that they were cheating on you. Just because one of your ex's did does not mean that every single one of your future girlfriends is going to cheat on you. You need to get over it and I mean it. If you loose Kristen the second day that you two are together then you are just plain stupid. You're stupid if you loose her."
"I know. I didn't mean it. I'm sorry AJ. I didn't mean to assume anything about you two."
"Well you have to apologize to more than one person here. You didn't hurt me but you did hurt someone who is in the other room crying."
"I'll go apologize."
"You better and don't screw things up. She is a great person. I'm leaving because this is between the two of you. If she needs someone to talk to other than you just let her know that I am there for her. As a friend Nick."
"Alright. Later Bone."
"Bye," AJ said and walked out the door. Nick went to Kristen's room and knocked on the door.
"Come in," Kristen hollered. Nick opened the door and saw Kristen laying on her bed hugging a pillow with tears coming out of her eyes. Nick went and sat down on the bed beside her. Nick placed his hand on Kristen's waist and turned her so she was laying on her back looking up at him. "Here to yell at me for cheating on you some more?" Kristen asked.
"No. I'm here to apologize, I'm sorry. I just jumped to conclusions. One of my old girlfriends cheated on me once and ever since her I've lost every girlfriend that I've had because I assumed they were cheating on me."
"You're not going to loose me Nick," Kristen said sitting up looking into his eyes.
"I don't want to loose you. You mean a lot to me. I like you so much. It would hurt me too bad if I lost you."
"You're not going to loose me Carter. You have to promise me that you won't ever assume that I'm cheating on you again. It hurt me to hear you yelling at me as if you didn't trust me."
"I promise. And I do trust you. I just wasn't thinking. I'm so sorry Kristen. I didn't mean to yell at you either. I just thought that I had lost you and I didn't know how to react. Yesterday you went out with AJ shopping and he picked out an outfit for you. Then he was over here for dinner. I didn't know what to think."
"AJ is my friend. Just like he is you're friend. I'm going to do things with AJ because he is a friend. No more."
"I know and I'm sorry. I promise I won't do it again," Nick said pulling Kristen into a tight hug.
"I like you so much Nick," Kristen cried into his shoulder.
"I have the same feelings towards you."
"Stay here with me tonight please?"
"Alright I will." Kristen pulled the blankets back on her bed and they crawled under. Nick wrapped his arms Kristen while she cuddled up to him tightly.
"Don't do this to me again please."
"I won't," Nick said. He then kissed her and they fell asleep in each other's arms.
