Falconry is what?
Hey...how are you? Fine right...ok here we go.....I have been involved with falconry all of my life...in fact even while I was in my mothers stomach! Although I didn't get my state and federal lisence until i was 14, i have been envolved in every aspect of the sport all of my life!
The Falcon that i was flying and is definatly still in my heart was a gyr/saker falcon that was 3 years old. Although i flew him as much as i possibly could in the hawking season... he had only caught 1 grouse This season. The day he caught his first grouse, he was killed.
Right now i am flying another gyr/saker that has come to be named "Baz". Baz is actually Doree's brother.
Most people want to know what we hunt with the falcons ~ well its a number of things...and it all depends on the species of falcon, the environment, and the season. With my falcon, i mainly fly him on ducks, sharp-tailed grouse, and hungarian partridge.
