Trunks: Because he never had to deal with the pain that his future counterpart did, present-time Trunks is completely different. The deep, thoughtful nature is still there, but it’s overshadowed by a certain amount of optimism. The world he lives in is safe and secure, and because of this, there’s no real need to develop that thoughtful part of him into something more. A lifetime spent with his Otousan has also shaped him into something different. He strives to be the best and to keep his pride intact, through an almost cruel attitude and an arrogant disposition. He can care a great deal about certain people, but there are very few that he will trust enough to let in. Except for a very select few (most notably Goten), he keeps everyone else at a distance, perhaps viewing himself as more important than anyone else. Those that he does care about however, he puts a great effort into protecting and loving.

Tayhei: B-I-T-C-H. She takes other people’s feelings and insecurities and sucks them dry, twists them around, manipulates and ultimately controls them to a fault. She would claim that she does this for her own personal enjoyment, but in all reality, she does this for protection. If she can control people and keep them at a distance from her heart, then she will never experience any kind of hurt. She has a split personality, really ---- the cruel, manipulative Tayhei, and her actual self, which is a very kind, very delicate person. Rarely ever does she show her true nature, and if she does, it’s very short lived. She had been taken advantage of in the past, and she swore to herself that she’d never let it happen again. She develops deep attachments to certain people (most notably Bra and Bulma) that she knows will never hurt her, or that she feels protective of, but for the most part, she is cruel to almost everyone. She is startlingly different from Mirai Tayhei, as an example of how much certain events in one’s life can alter their personalities.

Status: Hateful Love. They love each other and they hate each other for it. Neither one of them really wanted the other to know how they felt, and neither one of them ever wanted to let themselves fall like that. Because they’re both angry at themselves for the feelings they developed, they turn that anger towards each other. After a while however, the anger that they feel turns into something more along the lines of playfulness. They play games with each other, and it’s actually fun for them. In their hearts, neither one of them truly hates the other or truly disrespects them ---- In fact, it’s the exact opposite. The anger and the mischievousness displayed is more out of show than anything. In reality they care a great deal about each other, and there is a large amount of physical attraction built up there as well. Both of them are beautiful and they know it. There’s a certain amount of power in a dynamic, beautiful couple, and they use it to their utmost advantage. They would never want to be boring or simple, and because of this, they will always be a very up front, very prominent couple. Trunks truly does love Tayhei, for that inexplicable kindness that he can see in her every once and awhile, but he also loves her vivaciousness and her fierceness, and that’s why he manages to put up with her bitchy attitude. In some odd, twisted way, he finds that enormously attractive. Tayhei, also loves Trunks, for the kindness that he shows her, and for the fact that he really does care about her, something that Tayhei hasn’t had all that often.
