**Chapter One**

"Hey Brandi, come on we are going to be late!" Gianna called. "Hold on! Where is the red hairclip?" Brandi asked. She is always picky on what she should wear or how her hair looks. "Isn't it on the nightstand in my room?" Gianna asked. "Oh yeah! Thanks!" Brandi replied. She twisted her long, curly red hair up into a bun and pinned it in with her hair clip. "Alright, I'm ready!" Brandi exclaimed. They hopped into Gianna's BMW and off they went. Brandi is so excited because today is her 21st birthday! Her and Gianna were going to a new club opening. They were extra excited because the Backstreet Boys were going to be there. She is totally obssessed with Nick Carter! Her friend Gianna love Brian. When they are in the car or at home they always blast their favorite c.d. Black and Blue. When they got there the club was already packed! She laughed at all the 13 year old girls who apparently heard that the Backstreet Boys were going to be there. They squeezed through the crowd in the club to get to the balcony. They got up there and were scanning the crowd for any familiar faces. There he was! Dancing with his bandmates and some girls in slutty clothes. She tapped Gianna on the shoulder and told her what she saw. "Go down there and talk to him!" Gianna yelled to her over the loud music. "No! What would I say? I would be so nervous!" "No you won't! Trust me. I'll go with you for moral support." Gianna said. They walked over to where Nick and the guys were dancing. Gianna and Brandi sarted dancing in front of them so he would notice her. The plan worked! Brandi caught Nick's eyes and he started walking over to her. "OMG! Gianna he is walking right towards us!" Brandi whispered into Gianna's ear. "Just stay cool." Gianna answered. She felt a hand touch her shoulder. She looked up and Nick was standing right behind her. "Hi. I'm Nick. What's your name?" he asked. "Brandi" she answered. Brandi's favorite song came on. The song was Shape Of My Heart. "Would you like to dance?" Nick asked. "Sure, I would love too." Brandi exclaimed. They walked to the middle of the dance floor. Nick placed his arms around her waist and she placed her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her. They swayed their bodies to the music. She placed her head on his shoulder. When Nick's part in the song came on, he seranaded her. He could feel her body shiver with delight to the sound of his voice. She has always dreamed of this very moment and wished it would never end. She knew it had to because the song was almost over. When the song ended, Nick asked if she would like to go outside for some fresh air. She agreed and they walked outside. "So, are you in college?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm trying to become a teacher." she replied. They kept on talking and when Brandi looked at her watch, it was alsmost midnight! "Wow! We have been talking for almost two hours!" she exclaimed. "We better get inside before the others get worried." he replied.

They walked inside and searched for them. They were relieved when they finally found them. Gianna and Brian were talking in an isolated corner. Kevin, AJ, and Howie were talking to some girls who looked about 25. Brandi walked over to Gianna and pulled her away from Brian." "We better start heading home. It's getting pretty late" Brandi yelled to Gianna over the loud music. "Alright but let me say goodbye to Brian first." Gianna said. "I'll meet you at the car." Brandi replied.

She walked over to Nick and told him that they were going to leave. He asked if he could walk her to the car and she said yes. "So..... do you have a boyfriend?" he asked nervously. "No. We broke up two weeks ago." she shyly replied. "Why?" he asked curiously. "I caught him cheating on me with a girl I have hated since 8th grade!" she snaped. "Oh, that's horrible. What a jerk!" he remarked. Brandi giggled then asked, "Do you have a girlfriend?" Nick looked at the ground. "Whats the matter?" she asked confused. "It's just that I haven't had a girlfriend in over a year!" he replied still looking at the ground. She put her hand into his hand. He looked up and smiled. "Well, here is our car." she replied pulling him closer to her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him slowly but passionately. Out of nowhere, Gianna appears with Brian. "Alright love birds, time to go." Gianna replied with a smirk. "Don't forget to call me!" Nick whispered into Brandi's ear. "Alright." she whispered back. They got into the car and sped off back to their apartment. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight Gianna." she said walking to her room. She changed and hopped into bed.
