~*Chapter 3*~
Stephanie stared hard into the huge garage. It pretty dark but Steph could see the moonlight
glinting off something strange. Stephanie flipped
the switch right by the garage door and her mouth
fell in utter shock. This time the next note from
AJ wasn't that hard to locate. Even from the stop
step. where Stephanie still stood in shock she could
see in plain view the huge white peice of
posterboard sitting on top of the object that was
causing Stephanie her confusion. The white piece of
posterboard read in black marker,"Happy 5-month
anniversary baby, look at your present and then go
to the patio for your final suprise."
Stephanie's confusion was cleared by that note.
Her emotions changed from confusion to utter excitement!
The object, her anniversary present, was a
gorgeous silver convertible! "Ohmigod, ohmigod.."
Stephanie repeated in an almost hypnotic chant.
Stephanie on wobbly knees somehow managed to walk
down the steps. She walked over to her new car and
then remembered the small box she held in her sweaty hands.
Suddenly the object inside became clear to her.
Stephanie opened the box carefully and eagerly.
Inside was a sterling silver keychain with "Steph n
AJ 4-ever" engraved in it. From the keychain fell a
pair of glittering keys, to her new car.
Stephanie started jumping all around and then
walked to her car and peared in at the slick leather
seats and sitting in the driver's seat was a stuffed white bear that grinned up at her.
"That AJ is too much,"Stephanie whispered.
Stephanie wanted to look at her car further but she
knew she couldn't keep AJ waiting, if he was around.
Stephanie took her keychain and put it back in the
box and slipped it in her purse as she ran a hand
through her hair. Ever since she had caught sight of
the car a grin wouldnt come off of her face, and it
still wouldn't.
Stephanie then remembered the empty glass
she was still carrying from her grape wine.
She walked back into the house and into the kitchen and put her
empty glass in the sink. Stephanie then started
walking in the opposite direction of the garage and
headed excitedly to the patio. Stephanie walked eagerly wondering anxiously
what could be better than her dream car! Well
besides that and going out with AJ McLean. She
continued walking and grew more and more anxiously
with excitement of what could be behind the door to
the patio. She wondered what the big suprise could be.....
