Brian bolted from his hotel room, running down the hallway trying to catch the elevator, as Kevin ran after him, one flip flop on, the other one in his hand. Brian jumped in the elevator and held the door open for Kevin, waiting for him to catch up, after all, he was the man with the car keys. Once in the elevator, Kevin dropped his other shoe to the ground and slid his foot in, all the while still trying to wake up from his near slumber.
Kevin leaned against the back of the elevator staring at Brian as he stood transfixed on the descending numbers above his head. Kevin didn’t know what to say, he didn’t know Brian. Five hours together in a car had hardly made them chums. He didn’t know whether this was the first time something like this had happened to Brian and Audrey, or if this was completely out-of-the-blue. All he did know was that they were two men who, from one reason or another, were supposed to have gotten married this weekend and now weren’t. That, and that these two jilted lovers now had no plans, no destination and no place to spend the night. The elevator slowed, then stopped and before the doors were even completely open, Brian was already running past the front desk, throwing his key-card at the sleepy night clerk. Kevin fished his keys out of his suit pants pocket and opened the trunk for Brian. He got in and started the car, threw it in reverse and burned out of the parking lot. “Where to?” Kevin said, finally breaking the silence that had plagued them. “Dunno, don’t care.” Brian said firmly as he stared out of his window at the neon lights. “We could find another hotel.....I think we should sleep on all of this and...maybe it will be clearer in the morning.” Kevin said as he stopped at a red light/ “Whatever.” Brian grumbled as Kevin turned into another fancy hotel-casino. It was true that he had left LA with nothing more than the clothes on his back, but he did have his platinum credit card in his wallet. Money was something that he didn’t have to worry about too much, he had made a small fortune when he was 25 through an internet company.
Kevin parked the car and headed for the hotel lobby. Brian followed, leaving his bag in the car this time. Kevin headed over to the front desk and booked himself and Brian each a room. Brian was busy peering inside the hotel bar just off the lobby. Kevin walked up behind him and poked him in the back for Brian to take his key. “I think I need a drink...what about you, man?” Brian said as he ventured into the somewhat deserted bar. Kevin followed him and the two sat down at the bar. The bar was empty except for the bartender, a lone man sitting at the far end of the bar sipping on an umbrella drink and a beautiful girl exercising her lungs up on the stage. “A beer, whatever’s on tap.” Kevin ordered as the bartender placed a napkin on the bar for him and shoved a bowl of stale pretzels toward him. “I’ll have the same,” Brian followed. He wasn’t much of a drinker, ordering real drinks other than beer, intimidated him somewhat. Their beers were placed in front of them as they sat in silence. Brian drank his beer down rapidly, not realizing that he had been so thirsty. The bartender quickly refilled his glass as Kevin slowly sipped at his, savoring every precious mouthful. He closed his eyes to take in his surroundings. He could hear the bartender washing some glasses behind the bar, Brian was rummaging through the pretzel bowl, but what brought him the greatest pleasure was the voice of the girl singing on stage. He picked up his glass and swiveled around to face her.
The stage was plain, only one spotlight shone down on this vision of loveliness. “A beautiful girl with a beautiful voice,” Kevin thought to himself as he stared at her. She was dressed in a long navy blue, tight dress that was v-necked just enough to reveal the swell of her bosom. Kevin was a breast man, although he would never admit it to anyone. Her long, dark-brown hair draped over her shoulder and was long enough that just a few strands fell into her cleavage. Kevin wanted to reach out and brush those few strands away, but instead he rose to his feet and moved to the table that was directly in front of the stage. He sat down and stared at her, drinking her beauty and sipping his beer. He had never felt so compelled to stare at any women before, not Jennifer, certainly not Tiffany from the diner, not anyone, until now.
He could tell that she was feeling a little uneasy by his forwardness. She tried to act like a professional and sing like before, like there was no one else in the room, but her sapphire blue eyes kept meeting up with his. She continued to sing, perfectly on key, as Kevin fantasized about getting up on stage with her. As he sipped his cold beer, he thought about getting up on stage with her and ripping the mic from her porcelain hand and throwing it to the ground. He thought about placing his index finger over her lips, telling her to ‘hush’ and then running that finger all the way down her chin, her neck, all the way down into the V of her dress. He thought about pulling her close to him, so she could feel how badly he wanted her. “Excuse me stranger, is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?” he imagined her saying as he ran his hands around her back, finding the zipper and slowly revealing what he longed to see. He thought of taking her bare breasts in his hands and then his mouth, sucking like a new calf. She would squeal with delight as she unbuttoned his pants and they fell to the ground. As she stood on the stage, never missing a beat in her songs, Kevin thought about throwing her down onto the stage and taking her right there, thrusting himself into her warmth. He thought about how warm she was there, how......... “Excuse me, are you enjoying the show?” a strange voice pierced him back into reality. Kevin sat forward on his chair and pulled up closer to the table, desperately trying to conceal the huge hard-on he had to this stranger. He looked over his shoulder to see the man with the umbrella drink standing just behind him. “She’s really amazing isn’t she?” the umbrella man asked again. “Well, don’t get any ideas about her, cuz she’s my lady.” he added. “Oh, what? Ya, she’s lovely....that voice is too precious for some hotel bar. Does she have a record deal?” Kevin asked while glancing over his other shoulder toward Brian, who was still stirring the pretzel bowl around at the bar. “She doesn’t want one. She’s happy as a clam coming up here once a month to sing in these lounges. I’ve tried to explain to her that there could be so much more for her, but she’s happy doing this. “You mean she actually planned on being a lounge-lizard?” Kevin said while offering the man a chair. “She’s a nurse down in Phoenix, she loves what she does, but once a month, she comes up here to Vegas and sings her heart out. It’s her release, I guess.” the man explained. All Kevin could think to say was “Don’t say release!” but he didn’t. The music stopped and the lovely lady thanked her audience. “What audience?” Kevin thought, but didn’t say that either. “Morgan, baby, c’mon down here sweetie!” the man ordered. She set her mic down and jumped down off the stage and came and stood at Kevin’s table. “Morgan, I’d like you to meet the newest member of your fanclub. He agrees with me that you should have a record deal......” “Nice to meet you, Mr.......?” she started. “Richardson, Kevin Richardson. You sing beautifully Morgan.” Kevin smiled at her. “Hey, Brian, come over here and meet my new friends....” he yelled across the bar. “Brian’s had a bit of a rough nite, so....” Kevin told the couple at the table. Brian reluctantly came and sat down. “Thanks for joining us Brian,” Kevin teased. “This lovely lady is Morgan........?” “It’s just Morgan, like Cher,” she smiled. “Oh, this is Morgan and her boyfriend.....I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name?” Kevin said. “Dorough, Howie Dorough,” the umbrella man said as he shook Kevin’s hand. “Well, now that we all know each other....what brings you two to Vegas? A buddy trip?” Howie asked Kevin. “Well, see there is that touchy subject that I mentioned. In fact Brian and I haven’t even known each other 12 hours yet, but we already have more in common than you could imagine.” “Kevin was kind enough to drive me out here from California after my car broke down. I was supposed to have been getting married tomorrow, but when I arrived at the hotel tonite, I caught my bride banging my best man!” Brian said with a grimace on his face. “Oh dear!” Morgan said. “How awful.”
The four new acquaintances sat at the little round table in front of the stage and talked until 3:30 in the morning. Finally the drive from LA caught up with Kevin and his eyes began to droop. He knew that he wasn’t being very good company anymore, so he told everyone that he was going up to bed. Brian followed, but before they left they made a “brunch date” with Howie and Morgan who were also staying in the hotel. Once upstairs in his room, Kevin kicked off his flip flops and tore off his dress shirt, leaving him in only a white tank top and his pants. He reached in his pocket to take out his keys, but they weren’t there. “Damn, there down in the bar!” he said out loud. “I better go get them or we’ll be stuck here for days!”
The bar was now closed, but the door was open a jar. All of the lights were off, except for a dim light over the stage. He walked in cautiously, trying not to trip over any of the tables or chairs. He made his way over to the table where he had been sitting and there they were, glistening in the dim light. He picked up his keys and turned to go, when he realized that he wasn’t alone. She was on the stage, still wearing her long blue dress with the very low V neck. “Oh, Morgan! I didn’t know that you....I didn’t know that anybody was here.” he said shyly, feeling uncomfortable in his imagined awkwardness. “Oh, Kevin! You scared me. I just forgot my sheet music.”she smiled and stood all alone on the stage, wanting and waiting for Kevin to join her. “Have you ever been on a stage Kevin?” she asked. “It’s an incredible feeling. Here come see!” she said. Kevin obeyed and joined her on the stage, only he didn’t turn to face the imaginary crowd, he only stood and faced Morgan. She felt his eyes penetrating her. “Y’know, Howie isn’t my boyfriend. He’s my brother. He just gets so over-protective of me when we’re here.....he just wants what’s best for me.” she smiled coyly. “He just doesn’t want every guy in Vegas to.......” Kevin stopped her and placed his index finger over her lips, telling her to ‘hush’ and then he ran that finger all the way down her chin, her neck, all the way down into the V of her dress. She sighed with delight. He pulled her close to him, so she could feel how badly he wanted her. “Oh Kevin!” she sighed as her hands found his crotch. He ran his hands around her back, finding the zipper and slowly revealing what he longed to see. He ripped down her dress, revealing her bare breasts. He clutched them in his hands and then his mouth, sucking like a new calf. She squealed again with delight as she unbuttoned his pants and they fell to the ground. Kevin laid her down onto the stage, straddled over her and took her right there, thrusting himself into her warmth. He thought about how warm she was there. He thought about his fantasy. Was this still another fantasy? Was he dreaming? Was he really riding her like a cowboy? And as he climaxed he knew that it was real. He knew that he had actually fucked some lounge singer that he had only known a couple of hours. He had never done anything like that before in his life. And as he got dressed and watched her slip back into that devilish blue dress, he realized that he would never be the same again.
