~*~More Than That~*~

Chapter 10

Today was the day of Carol's interview for the boys' photographer. A.J. left early in the morning before Carol woke up. He left her a note on the refrigerator. Carol woke up at 6:30 a.m. She walked into the bathroom and took a shower.
"Looking back on the things I've done," Carol sang as she walked out of the bath. "I was trying to be someone. Played my part. Kept you in the dark. Now let me show you the shape of my heart!" She walked into her room wrapped in a towel. She took out a black knee length skirt with a slit in the back and a white sleeveless turtle neck out of the closet. She put on her clothes. As she finished she blow dried her hair and applied her make-up.
She walked down the stairs and picked up the keys on the table and walked out the door, keys in one hand and her bag in the other. Carol opened the door and climbed into A.J.'s car. She drove out of the driveway and was on her way to the college.

"Thank you," Carol said to her professor as he gave her photographs. He gave it to her in a big yellow folder.
"Good luck with the interview," he said. "I really think you will get the job. You're a good photographer. you were one of my best students."
"Thank you, Professor Summers," she said. "It means a lot that you said that." Carol then walked out into the parking lot and into the car. She put the folder in the passenger seat.
She then got a strange feeling that someone was watching her. She turned around but saw nothing but college students on campus. She brushed off that feeling and drove into the direction of the venue where they were rehearsing.
As she neared the venue, she suddenly got the same strange feeling that someone was watching her. She looked in the mirror and saw Scott in her car. She never did go back to take it ever since she left.
"Shit!" she whispered to herself. She opened her bag with one hand on the steering wheel and took out her cell phone.

"So when's that photographer going to come in?" Kevin asked A.J. as they took a 30 minute break rehearsal.
"Um... in 15 minutes," he answered." She had to get her pictures at her college." Ring! Ring! The sound came from A.J.'s cell phone. He took it out of his pocket and picked it up.
"Hello," he said in the phone.
"A.J.?" the voice said.
"Carol?" he asked.
"Yeah. I think Scott's following me," Carol said as she drove around.
"What? How do you know?" he asked.
"Well... he driving in MY car right behind me," Carol said.
"Did you try to lose him?" he asked.
"Yes! I don't want drive to the venue because he might try to hurt ALL of you guys," she answered.
"Okay, where are you right now?" he asked.
"I just went past Chestnut Street," she said.
"Okay, there's a Rite Aid somewhere around there," he stated. "I want you to park in the parking lot and walk into it," A.J. told her.
"Okay," she said as she parked her car and walked into Rite Aid with her bag and cell phone still in her hand.
"Is he still following you?" A.J. asked.
"He just got out of his car," she stated.
"Okay just walk around for a few minutes and walk slowly out of the store and drive away quickly. Got it?" he said.
"Yes," Carol said as she hung up the phone. She walked around the store careful not to let Scott see her. After 5 minutes she slowly walked out of the Rite Aid and into A.J.'s car. She drove away quickly, looking in the mirror seeing her car still in the parking lot.

"Who was that?" Nick asked as A.J. hung up the phone.
"The photographer, she had a little trouble finding her way to this venue," A.J. said.
"So is she going to be here soon," Kevin asked.
"Yes," he said. "So, is Tiffany going on tour with you?" A.J. asked Nick about his girlfriend.
"Yeah, but only for the first half," Nick answered. As they were talking, Carol walked in. They all stopped talking and all the attention was put on her.
"I'm sorry, but you're not allowed in this area," Kevin said, thinking she was a fan.
"Carol," A.J. said as he got up from his chair and hugged her.
"Are you okay?" he whispered. She nodded. "You guys, this is Carol. The photographer was talking about. Carol this is Nick, Kevin, Brian and Howie."
"Hi," Carol said.
"She's hot," Nick whispered to Brian. Brian just rolled his eyes. Did he just forget about Tiffany? Brian thought. I wonder if this is the same woman A.J. was talking about the other night. Howie thought. No wonder A.J. spoke so highly about her. She's cute. Kevin thought.
Nick was the first to stand up and shake her hand. He was followed by Brian, then Howie and then Kevin. Kevin took notice of her yellow folder.
"May I?" he asked as he pointed to the folder.
"Yeah sure," Carol said as she gave him the folder. A.J. then took notice of how Nick was looking at her. What is wrong with that boy? A.J. thought. "Can you guys tell me where the bathroom is?" she asked.
"It's right down there," Howie said as he pointed to his right. "Come on, I'll take you there," Howie said as he walked her there.
"Thanks," she said.
"She's good," Kevin said as he was looking at her photographs.
"Let me see," A.J. said as Kevin handed him some photographs. After her finished looking at them, he handed them to Brian. As Brian finished looking at them he handed them to Nick.
"She's almost better than Andre," Brian said.
"I think we should hire her," Nick said.
"We need D's opinion in this too, Nick," Kevin said. As Carol and Howie came back, Brian gave him her photographs.
"She's good," he whispered to A.J.
"Let's hire her," Brian said looking at Kevin.
"Why is everyone looking at me?" Kevin asked.
"Well, we all want her to be our photographer. What about you?" A.J. said.
"Yeah sure. Like Brian said, 'She's almost better than Andre,'" Kevin said. He looked at Carol. "You're hired!" Kevin said to Carol.
"Really? Thank you so much!" Carol said as she hugged all of them.
