~Chapter 9~

"Well it seems as if someone poisoned him, it usually wouldn't have been this bad, but the poison reacted with the medicine he was taking for his heart. That caused him to have a pretty serious heart attack. He would have been dead if a girl at the restaurant didn't pound on his chest so hard during CPR." the doctor explained. "He is still unconscious and not responding to any of the tests, we don't know if he is going to make it." "Can we see him?" Kristy asked in a sad voice. "In a few minutes I will send someone out to tell you where to go. Only one at a time though." the doctor turned around a left. "Poison, who would want to poison Brian?" Kevin asked innocently. Kristy's head shot up. "You know you did it, so do we, so stop acting as if you don't know what's going on. You almost killed him, your cousin, your own flesh and blood" Kristy spat out. The guilt finally flooded over Kevin when she finally made it clear to him what he did. He got up and left. "The Girl? The one that gave him CPR? who is she?" she said aloud remembering what the doctor said. "Umm, that was me." Crissy interupted quietly. Nick ran up to her and gave her a quick hug. "Thank You" he said. "Yeah, Thank You so much, I don't know if I will ever be able to pay you back. But if you ever need anything, please tell one of us and we will be sure to help" Kristy insisted. "You really don't need to thank me or do anything, I was glad to be able to help." "One of you may go see Mr. Littrell now." a nurse instructed. "K, Do you want to go in first?" Aj asked. "Umm, I, No Nick why don't you go first." Nick got up and followed the nurse to room 268. He opened the door and walked over to Brian. "Hey Frick." Nick said wearily. "You need to wake up Buddy, you're scaring me. I need someone to play N64 with, and we both know AJ and Howie suck." he laughed remembering all the times that played together. "I miss you beating me a B-ball too. So please, please wake up", Nick broke down, he couldn't stand to see his best friend like that, he got up and ran out to the waiting room and strait to Pamela's arms where she did her best to comfort him. Next Howie went in, and after him AJ. Both of them returning soon after crying. "Kristy, Are you going to go see him?" Howie asked. "I can't, Not Yet". "Kristy?" Crissy asked. Kristy looked up "Do you mind if I go see him" Kristy didn't know why she was asking for her permission, but she shook her head no. "No, I don't mind. Go ahead" she was relieved actually, it gave her more time to think. Crissy proceeded to the same room the others had went to. "Hi Brian." she said. "Well you don't exactly know me, but I was in the restaurant when everything happened, I performed CPR on you. You need to wake up Bri, you just need to" she found tears in her own eyes, even though she had never met him. "You have all those people out there that love you, especially Kristy. She tries to hide it, but it shows, you mean a lot to her. I wish I had friends like that. Maybe when you get out of this place we can talk sometime. Well I guess that's all I needed to say, Get better fast. Bye". When Kristy saw Crissy walk back out to the waiting room she knew it was her time to go see him. The moments Kristy dreaded were coming fast. As she walked down the endless hall toward Brian's room her heart began to beat faster. She reached the room and with a flick of the wrist opened the door. She made her way toward the bed, but stopped dead in her tracks when his body came into focus in the Dim light. His body was so pale, so lifeless. The glow that always graced his smile was gone, the smile itself was gone. She felt her heart drop and as she placed her hand on his face, the tears finally decided to grace her cheeks, his skin was white and frigid. "Baby, please wake up, please. Why is Kevin doing all this, What is his problem." she cried harder. "Sorry, it took me so long to come, but I couldn't, I wasn't ready to see you like this. I need you to wake up for me Brian, You can't leave me, you just can't. We just got together, I don't want to lose you already. I love you so much. I don't know what else to say, I don't even know if you can hear me. I love you." She held his hand tightly afraid that if she let go she would lose him, and she sang herself to sleep singing "Don't Want to Lose You Now". ~**Chapter 10**~
