*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*

Chapter 12
Monday, December 24, 2001

Everyone sat at Kevin’s on Christmas Eve for his Christmas get together. There weren’t that many people there just the BSB and their girlfriends, a few friends, and family. Not a lot was going on just them sharing some past Christmas stories. They all sat in the parlor drinking eggnog and having a good time.

“Hey, where’s Lillie?” Alexander asked.

“She went down to Clearwater last night,” Antoinette replied. “She won’t be back up this way until January sometime.” She looked at Howard. “Sorry, Howie.”

“It’s alright,” Howard said. “She still hates me, even though I’ve done so many things possible to make it up to her.”

“Now ya know how I felt,” Nickolas said and Valondra just looked at him.

“That’s what ya get for cheating,” Alexander said and Valondra slapped his leg.

“Not here,” Valondra said. “It’s Christmas.”

“I know,” Alexander said. “I wasn’t going to say anything. So what are you guys doing tomorrow, Lon?”

“Having Christmas with our families,” Nickolas replied.

“I’m hoping not together,” Rachel said.

“Yeah,” Valondra stated.

“Your families hate each other,” Kevin reminded them. “Like the Montague’s and the Capulet's hated each other.”

“We believe that since its Christmas they’ll get along,” Nickolas said.

“And I’m marrying Cindy Crawford tomorrow,” Howard said sarcastically. “It ain’t going to happen.”

“Whatever,” Valondra said.

“He’s right, you guys,” Alyssa said. “Loni, your family hates Nick. Even though you won’t admit it that’s why your dad kicked you out, because you wouldn’t break-up with Nick.”

“I wasn’t kicked out,” Valondra lied. “I moved out.”

“You got kicked out?” Nickolas asked.

“No.”

“I was there,” Alyssa said. “I helped you pack and left you cry on my shoulder.”

“Quit lying, Alyssa.”

“I’m not.”

“Because of me,” Nickolas replied. “I had no idea.”

“It ain’t true,” Valondra said.

“Then look at me and say it.”

“Why does it matter? It happened over a year ago.”

“And, Nick, just because your family loves Lon,” Alyssa continued, “they hate Lon’s.”

“I don’t blame them,” Charisma said. “Look at the way they treat Lon. She gets a sweet, caring man and her sister gets…”

“Adam!” the girls said in unison, as the guys looked at them and Charisma added, “a druggy ass loser and Majandra gets put up on a pedestal.”

“Well that’s how she chose to live her life,” Valondra said. “Not me. I chose Nick.”

“And I chose you,” Nickolas said giving her a kiss.

“Aww!” everyone gushed.

“Oh, Nick,” Brian said interrupting.

“What?” Nickolas asked disgusted and they all laughed.

“I got the you-know-what for ya.”

“I almost forgot about that. Where is it?”

“At the house. I forgot to grab it.”

“I’ll stop to get it before I head home.”

“Or you could go get it now,” Alyssa suggested.

“I could.”

“What is it?” Valondra wanted to know. “It’s got to be for me.”

“Tomorrow. I’ll be back then.” He gave her a kiss then got up.

“It’s on the kitchen table,” Rachel said.

“Thanks,” Nickolas said and walking out. Alyssa walked over to the window and looked out.

She waited a minute then said, “He’s gone.”

“It’s about time,” Valondra said jumping up. “I’ll see ya’s whenever.”

“Where are you going?” Alexander asked.

“That’s none of your business.”

“Why not?”

“Because it ain’t.” She smiled and the girls went outside with her.

“Are you sure this is the right thing?” Rachel asked. “You might end up like me and Ariel.”

“Ariel’s got a beautiful baby.”

“But are you sure?” Storm asked.

“Where you guys sure when you went all the way?”

“Yeah,” the girls said.

“Alrighty then. I’m definitely sure.”

“Ok,” Charisma said.

“Can’t we change your mind?” Antoinette asked.

“Can the Pope marry?” Valondra questioned and they just looked at her. “Do you remember what to tell him?”

“That you didn’t feel well and went home,” Storm answered.

“He’ll think my place and go there which will give me more time to think about this.”

“Are you having second thoughts?” Alyssa asked.

“Just a little.”

“Maybe it ain’t a good idea then,” Charisma said.

“You ain’t getting Nicky.”

“Ok, I understand.”

“Good.”

“I hope you’re making the right decision,” Alyssa said. “It’s a big step.”

“No bigger than marriage though. I love Nicky and nothing’s going to change that ever. Who knows? Maybe I’ll chicken out before he gets down to his place.”

“I hope you do,” Antoinette said.

“What for? I didn’t start sleeping with him a month into the relationship. It’s been three and a half years.”

“That happened once.”

“It still happened.” She smirked. “I was smart and waited.”

“Who’d it happen with?” Charisma asked and Antoinette and Valondra just looked at her. “Oh.”

“I’m pretty sure about this.”

“If you are then be careful,” Rachel said.

“I will.” She opened her car door. “Alyssa, can you do me a favor?”

“Sure,” Alyssa said. “What?”

“Call me when Nick leaves.”

“Sure thing.”

Valondra got in her car. “Thanks. Later you guys.”

“Later,” the girls said and watched her drive off.

“Do you think she’s making the right decision?” Storm asked.

“Yeah,” Alyssa said. “She loves Nick.”

“But she said she was going to wait until their wedding night,” Charisma said.

“That girl can’t wait,” Antoinette stated. “I’m surprised she waited this long.” They laughed. “I’m being serious.”

“I know,” Rachel said.

“She wanted the timing to be perfect,” Alyssa said. “And what a Christmas Nickolas will be having.”

“Truly memorable,” Antoinette said.

“Very exciting,” Storm added.

“Wild,” Charisma chimed in.

“Ok, let’s go inside,” Rachel said. “I’m hungry.”

“Same here,” Antoinette said. “I didn’t eat anything since lunch.”

“Toni’s pregnant,” Rachel snickered.

“Yeah and you’re having sextuplets,” Antoinette said and Rachel just looked at her. “How can I be when Justin and I haven’t had sex…ever?”

“Who said its J’s?” Alyssa questioned as they laughed and went inside.
