*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*

Chapter 21

Trace pulled up to Valondra’s house and shut the car off. They sat there in silence, still feeling a little bad about the kiss they shared. They didn’t even look at each other, as a million and one thoughts went through their minds.

Valondra looked at Trace and said, “I told Nick about our kiss.”

“You did?” Trace asked a little surprised.

“I thought he had a right to know and Justin kind of talked me into it.”

“What’d Nick say?”

“Nothing really.”

“Was he mad?”

“Surprisingly no. Just a little upset and hurt.”

“So he doesn’t hate me and want to rip me to pieces?” Valondra chuckled and shook her head. “Good.”

“Well, goodnight.”

“Are you going to be all right by yourself?”

“I’ll be fine. People need to stop worrying about me.”

“I just want to make sure you’ll be safe.”

“I will be. Now goodnight and go home.”

“Alright.” He leaned over and kissed her cheek. “Goodnight.”

Valondra got out of the car and walked to the front door. Before going inside, she watched Trace leave.

After he was out of sight, she went inside. She listened to the messages on the machine and none were for her. She turned it off and went upstairs.

She stood at her dresser taking her jewelry off and thinking. She picked up the diamond and looked at it a moment before continuing to take her jewelry off. As she stood there, she felt hands on her back and her dress being unzipped.

Not even thinking straight, she said, “Trace, I said you could go home. You don’t need to help me with the zipper this time.”

“Trace left fifteen minutes ago.” Valondra turned around. “And why would he be undoing your dress?”

“Nick?” He kissed her, but she stopped it. “How’d you get in?”

“You girls always leave the backdoor unlocked. Now answer my question.”

“Trace was with me the other day when I tried the dress on and the zipper got stuck so he helped me out.” Nickolas just smiled. “Why’d you unzip my dress anyway?”

“Because I’ve always wanted to do it. It doesn’t look like you have a problem with it, because you ain’t skitzen.”

They looked at each other with so much passion.

Valondra wanted to kiss Nickolas, but stopped herself. “I told you I want to take it slow.” She started to zip her dress up. “So you had no right coming in here and doing what you did.”

“What was that?” He helped her with the zipper.

“Unzipping my dress and kissing me the way you did. It was so wrong of you.” She walked away from him.

“I’m sorry, but I still think you enjoyed it.”

“So what if I did.”

“I knew it.”

“You knew shit. What are you doing here?”

“I wanted to see you.”

“You saw me, like, a half hour ago.”

“I know, but it was too long.” He stood behind her and buried his face in her neck.

“Nick…”

“You know it’s going to be hard for me to take it slow with you.” He turned her around to face him. “We’ve been together for so long and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you.”

“You know how I’m feeling right now.” He moved closer to her. He went to nuzzle her neck, but she backed up and each time after that. “Don’t do something you’re going to regret.”

“When I saw you walking down that aisle I pictured our wedding and remembered how much I love you and want to be with you.”

“That’s flattering, Nick, but…”

“But what?” He started moving closer to her and she started backing up again. She was stopped, as her back touched the wall. She knew she was trapped, as Nickolas put his hands on the wall to keep her there.

They looked deep into each others eyes and Nickolas touched her neck. He slowly moved his hand down her smooth skin; making her lose all thinking sense. He brushed his lips against her own and said above a whisper in her ear, “I know you want me just as much.”

“And, and, and, and…and how do you know that?”

“Your breathing’s heavy, your body’s shaking; you’re melting from my touch…” He put his hand on her chest and she took a deep breath. “Your heartbeat’s erratic.” He licked his lips and moved his hand back up. He put it on her shoulder. “I could go on and on.” “Your methods of seduction ain’t working.” He took his hand down her shoulder. “I c-c-c-can fight my feelings for you.” She tried to fight the way she was feeling. “I did it before…for a whole month actually.”

“But it was torture, wasn’t it.” He kissed her neck and she closed her eyes.

“Um…not really.” God, why was she lying to herself?

She put her hands on Nickolas’ waist, as he continued kissing her neck. He kissed across her chest and went back up to her neck.

“Don’t lie, Princess. You were in withdrawal.”

She whispered in his ear, which made him more aroused, “No.”

He looked at her and went to kiss her. She went to kiss him also, but he backed away a second before their lips touched. They looked at each other passionately a moment then Nickolas walked away saying, “Look at the time. I have to go.”

Valondra took a deep breath and watched him walk out of the room. When he was gone she exhaled slowly and said, “Idiot!” She walked over to the bed and plopped down on it. She looked up at the ceiling and sighed. “You’re so stupid, Valondra. You know you wanted to give into your temptations by ripping his clothes off and have hot, steamy, passionate sex with him until the sun came up. But you had to ignore the way you felt.” She covered her face with her hands. “Stupid, stupid, stupid.”

“You shouldn’t talk to yourself. It ain’t healthy.” Valondra jumped off the bed and said, “Nick! You’re back.”

“I never left. I was standing right outside the room the whole time. You know I wouldn’t leave without giving you a proper goodbye.” Valondra just smirked feeling really embarrassed. “You should watch what you say, because someone could be listening.”

“You heard every word?”

“From idiot to stupid. From giving into temptations to ripping clothes off to having sex until the sun came up.” He stood in front of her. “I didn’t know you felt that way.”

“I don’t. It was my hormones talking. You know how it is.” She chuckled and went to walk away, but Nickolas grabbed her. He pushed her on to the bed. “I can have you arrested.”

He smiled and picked up the phone. “Go for it.” She just looked at him. “But you won’t.” He leaned over top of her. She tried to move, but Nickolas made sure she couldn’t get away. “It’s always the hormones and never the feelings.” She nodded. “So do you want to give into temptation, rip off my clothes, and make love until the sun comes up?”

“God, yes.” She sat up and kissed him. She put her arms around him and pulled him onto the bed with her.
