*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*The person at the door spied them and casually walked over. They stood in front of the group and the guys said in unison, “Bridgett.” “Hi, guys,” Bridgett said. “It’s been a long time.” “Not long enough,” Alexander blurted out. “Alex,” Kevin said. “It’s alright, Kevin,” Bridgett replied. “I can understand why you don’t like me.” “Hate is more like it,” Alexander said. “Alex, be quiet,” Kevin warned getting irritated. “I saw the sign outside,” Bridgett began, “congratulations, Brian.” “Thank you,” Brian said. “This is Rachel; the lucky bride-to-be.” “I’m Bridgett Carpenter,” Bridgett said. “We kind of figured that out on our own,” Charisma said. “Nick told Loni all about you and Loni told me all about you.” They just looked at her. “You used Nick to get what you want and you stole songs he and the Boys wrote and tried to make them your own. He found out, told your producers and shit, and the record company dropped you and told everyone else that you stole songs. You got pissed, tried to do Nick in, and spent a few years in Miami’s Juvenile Correction Institute for the Criminally Insane. Did ya come back to finish the job?” Bridgett just glared at her. “There’s the couple that can’t keep their lips off each other,” Alexander said. “Lon! Nick!” Everyone looked and saw Valondra and Nickolas walking towards them. After they approached Alexander asked, “Were you two off having some quality time?” “If you must know, yes,” Valondra said looking at Bridgett, as she looked at Nickolas. “Nick,” Bridgett said. “Bridgett,” Nickolas said in return. Valondra’s smile faded, as she asked Nickolas, “Is that her?” “Yeah,” Nickolas replied. “Bridgett this is Loni; my girlfriend of almost three years.” “I’d say I’m happy,” Bridgett started, “but I’m not, because it’s not me with you.” “That was the wrong thing to say, Bitch,” Valondra said right before she punched her. “Yes!” Alexander cheered, as Valondra walked away with Nickolas behind her. Everyone just stood there, as Bridgett took in what just happened. They all looked at each other and Bridgett began to walk in the direction Nickolas and Valondra went. Alyssa stepped in front of her and asked, “And where the hell do you think you’re going?” “That bitch is going to pay,” Bridgett replied. “So out of my way.” “The exit is that way,” Alyssa pointed out. “But the bitch went that way. So if you’ll step aside I have some business to take care of.” “The way I see it, Bridge…you don’t mind if I call ya Bridge do ya? Thanks. I see it this way, Loni is just looking out for her man and what’s rightfully hers…and that’s Nick.” Bridgett just looked at her. “I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next year they’re engaged or even married. So take a hike.” “Listen to me and listen carefully. Nick is my man and my man alone. The only one who’ll be marrying him is me. I’m not going to stand around and let some scrawny little ho get in my way of what I want.” “Ok. Now you listen to me and don’t miss a word I say.” Bridgett waited. “Loni D’s my best friend and so is Nick. Their happiness means a lot to me. So I’m not going to let you or anyone else get between them. If you do anything to break them up, I’ll make you pay.” “Is that a threat?” “It’s a promise.” Bridgett glared at them all. “You haven’t seen the last of me.” She walked away, as Valondra and Nickolas rejoined them. “I can’t believe I did that,” Valondra said looking at her bruised hand and wincing in pain as she tried to bend her fingers. “I’m glad you did it,” Nickolas stated smiling. “Considering I can’t do it myself.” “Anything for you,” Valondra said kissing him. “Ain’t love grand?” Lillie asked, as they all nodded in agreement. “Is she made of frickin’ metal?” Valondra asked. “I think I broke my hand.” They laughed. “I’m not joking. I can hardly move it.” “Let me see,” Kevin said carefully taking her hand. “Careful,” Valondra said. Kevin tried to bend her finger and she moaned through clenched teeth. “Yeah, that hurts, Kev.” “I think you need to go to the doctor,” Kevin said. “Great,” Valondra said. “The first person I really, really deck and I break my damn hand.” “You don’t know if it’s broke,” Nickolas said. “It could be sprained or fractured.” Valondra glared at him. “I wish Fox was here instead of in Clearwater, because he’d have some calm soothing words for me,” Valondra rebutted. “I love you,” Nickolas said kissing her. “It’s too late,” Valondra said. “You should really get that checked, Loni D,” Alyssa said. “I could’ve sworn I heard some bones break.” “Yeah, in that bitches jaw,” Valondra replied and they laughed. “I found some gauzy stuff in Paul’s office to wrap her hand up in,” Howard said handing it to Nickolas. “It should help just so she doesn’t bend her fingers.” “Take your rings off, Princess,” Nickolas ordered and she held up her right hand. “Fine.” He tried to carefully take the rings off, but she swore at him through clenched teeth. “They ain’t coming off.” “Ya need to moisten her finger,” Charisma said. “In fact I have some lotion in my car.” “I got it,” Nickolas said putting Valondra’s finger in his mouth and she just continued glaring at him. He took her finger out and put another one in his mouth. He took that one out and then took the rings out of his mouth. He held them out to Valondra and she just looked at him disgusted. He rolled his eyes and put the rings in his pocket. “Women.” “You’re so lucky I love you,” Valondra said and Nickolas smiled, while wrapping her hand. “Easy, Carter.” “Then hold still.” “I am holding still. You’re just not being careful.” “Whatever.” “Don’t give me that ‘whatever’ shit or I’ll give that ‘foot-in-the-crotch’ shit.” He looked at her. “I’m not joking either.” “She sounds serious enough,” Lillie said and they laughed. “I am serious,” Valondra said and Nickolas just looked at her while finishing wrapping her hand. “Don’t give me that cute look either.” He smiled. “I’m warning you, Carter.” He continued smiling. “You’re hopeless.” “You love me anyway,” Nickolas said. “And I have no idea why,” Valondra snickered and he kissed her. “Oh that’s why. You’re a good kisser.” She smiled and kissed him again, as the others shook their heads and smiled. “I’m surprised you two ain’t getting married yet,” Brian said. “Why?” Nickolas and Valondra asked in unison. “Because you’re worse than me and Rachel,” Brian replied. “How can you not love this guy?” Valondra questioned. “Easy,” they all said and she gave them all a dirty look. “You’re funny,” Nickolas said. “I was going to put ya’ll in my will, but I’m not going to anymore. Everything’s going to Loni D.” Valondra smiled. “I didn’t want any of your garbage anyway,” Alyssa joked. “I don’t spend my days playing video games all the time.” “And neither do I,” Nickolas said. “Only when Valondra’s not around,” Alexander said. “There’s nothing wrong with that,” Valondra stated. “He just misses me.” “I’m surprised he doesn’t follow ya when you’re out with Fox,” Charisma pointed out. “I trust Loni so I have no need to follow her,” Nickolas rebutted. “And I trust Nick,” Valondra added. “That’s good,” Kevin said. “What’s up, guys?” Antoinette asked. “And ladies,” Justin added. “Nothing,” they all said. “Lon, what happened to your hand?” Justin asked concerned and Nickolas looked at him closely. “She decked Nick’s ex,” Lillie answered. “And broke her hand,” Antoinette wanted to know. “It ain’t broken,” Valondra said. “Just Bridgett’s jaw.” They laughed. “She has another thing coming if she thinks she’s getting my man.” “She can look, but she can’t touch,” Charisma said. “She can’t even look or I’ll rearrange her face,” Valondra promised. “Oh yes you betcha.” “Just don’t let her bother ya,” Nickolas said. “I know she thinks she’s going to get me back, but there is only one girl I want and her name is Valondra Blake Summers.” He smiled and kissed her. “And I only want you,” Valondra said. “Ain’t that so sweet,” Alyssa said smiling. “She just better stay away,” Valondra rebutted. “Or she’s going to be sorry.” They just looked at her then at each other.
