“Did you hear what happened between Lon and Nick?” Alyssa asked Charisma and Alexander, as they sat in the girls’ kitchen. Valondra was upstairs in her room, where she was spending all her free time. She isolated herself from everyone and the only time she went out was to go to work. “No,” Alexander said. “What happened?” “Something good I hope,” Charisma stated, as Limp Bizkit’s ‘Break Stuff’ blared from upstairs. “Someone’s jamming and that’s Loni’s anger music so it can’t be good.” “It wasn’t good,” Storm replied. “How bad?” Alexander asked. “We’ll just say that she found him in a compromising position with his ex-girlfriend,” Kevin replied. “That is bad,” Alexander stated. “Was it Bridgett?” They just nodded. “That skanky ho-bag,” Charisma said. “What’d she do?” “Tried to seduce Nick,” Lillie said. “Stripped down to her undies then kissed him a second before Lon walked in.” “He was dressed I hope,” Alexander said. “He was only in a towel,” Storm replied, as Alexander just looked at her. “Nick had just gotten out of the shower when the little tramp showed up.” “Did he explain this to Loni?” Charisma wanted to know. “Yeah,” Alyssa said. “So what’s the problem?” Alexander questioned. “Lon thinks Nick doesn’t love her,” Alyssa stated. “But think about it, Alex,” Storm began, “she saw her fiancé kissing his ex-girlfriend…well, vice versa, the same one he said he hates. How would you want her to feel?” “Alright,” Alexander said. “I understand.” “I should’ve been here for her,” Charisma stated. “Not in Puerto Rico. I’m her best friend, she needs me.” “She needs Nick,” Alyssa said. “Hey, Valondra,” Kevin said, as she walked in the kitchen. “Hi,” Valondra said in return. “Welcome home you two.” “Thanks,” Alexander said. “You’re looking beautiful today.” “Save it,” Valondra basically snapped. “If I hear anymore comments like that from another guy, I’m going to totally skitz out.” “Sorry,” Alexander apologized. “Yeah, whatever,” Valondra rebutted opening the cupboard. “Lon,” Kevin began, “a few of us are getting together tonight and going partying, want to come with?” “Hmmm,” Valondra said taking the chips from the cupboard. “Go to a club, get involved in a big orgy, and get felt up by a bunch of drunken ass men or sit in my room, watch a bunch of action flicks, and drown in my sorrows thinking of what might have been. Which do you think?” She got in the refrigerator, as Fox said, “Come on, Loni D, it’s not going to be that bad.” She looked at him. “Nickolas ain’t going to be there,” Kevin added. “Nice try, Kev,” Valondra replied grabbing a soda and closing the refrigerator. They watched her walk upstairs saying, “All men are liars, Kevin, no matter who they are…including Fox.” “Sorry, Kev,” Alyssa said taking his hand. “It’s alright,” Kevin said. “She’s still hurting and I understand that. Nick’s probably not going to be there anyway.” “So you were lying,” Storm said. “That’s great.” “I thought it’d be a good way in trying to get those two back together,” Kevin replied. “But it seems she wants to get over him.” “That’s why her whole room is dedicated to her and Nick from the past three years,” Alyssa stated. “She’s really trying…I think not.” “She needs to get out of this house and have fun,” Lillie said. “She sits up in her room all day, blaring the stereo, and not talking to anyone.” “She’s isolating herself,” Fox said. “What I don’t understand is why from us?” Storm wanted to know. “I love my Loni.” “We all love Lon,” Alyssa said. “But only one loves her more than all of our love put together. She’s just too stupid and stubborn to put her anger aside and see the love Nick has for her.” “Well said, Sis,” Charisma said. “I’m glad you and I don’t have any problems like this,” Alexander said. “Same here,” Charisma agreed, as they kissed and Alyssa and Kevin just looked at each other. “So how was Puerto Rico?” Kevin questioned changing the subject. “Beautiful,” Charisma answered. “I didn’t want to leave, but I had this feeling something was wrong.” “So we came back earlier,” Alexander said. “Just because she couldn’t pass that feeling.” “I was right of something being wrong,” Charisma said. “My best friend’s heart is breaking right now.” “Hey, guys,” someone said walking into the kitchen. “Look who I ran into at the flower shop on my way here.” “Hey, D, Nick,” Kevin said. “What were you doing at the flower shop?” “I was ordering some flowers for my aunt’s birthday,” Howard began, “and I saw Nicky ready to walk out with a bouquet of red roses. So I had to talk him into coming here.” “They for Lon?” Fox asked already knowing the answer. “Not that she’ll accept them from me,” Nickolas replied. “Well, she’s upstairs,” Charisma stated. “It doesn’t hurt to try.” “I don’t know,” Nickolas said. “She’ll probably punch me in the face and damage her hand some more. How is her hand by the way?” “Doc said it’s both sprained and broke,” Alyssa said. “And he also said she might need surgery if it doesn’t heal properly.” Nickolas shook his head. “She did it all in the name of love.” “Yeah, I know,” Nickolas said. “Think Nike,” Charisma said. “Just do it.” She got up and pushed Nickolas to the stairway. “The worst she can do is slam the door in your face.” “That makes me feel better,” Nickolas said going up the stairs. “He worries too much,” Howard said. “He’s in love,” Lillie said. “What do you expect?” “What brings you by, Howie?” Alyssa asked. “Kevin said to meet here if we’re going partying,” Howard replied. “And I came to see my girlfriend.” “I hope ya don’t mind,” Kevin said. “If it keeps you here longer,” Alyssa said. “Of course not.” She smiled then kissed him. “So where’s the soon-to-be-married couple?” Howard asked. “Probably starting their honeymoon early,” Charisma snickered. “We can too,” Alexander smirked, as everyone just looked at them. “No we’re not engaged. Riz turned down my proposal.” “I’m not ready to get married,” Charisma stated. “I’m only 19. I can wait a few years.” “So that’s why you went to Puerto Rico,” Storm said. “That better be all you did in Puerto Rico,” Alyssa stated turning on the older over protective sister role. “I’m 19,” Charisma said. “I can look out for myself and make my own decisions regarding my sex life.” “Don’t get smart,” Alyssa warned. “Or I’ll send ya back home to mom and dad.” “I’m scared,” Charisma said smiling. “Be nice or I’m leaving,” Kevin said. “Let’s be rude,” Charisma joked, as Kevin just looked at her. “I want Kevy to leave.” “You’re funny,” Kevin said, as they all laughed. “I think things are going smoothly up there,” Howard pointed out. “I didn’t here a gun, windows smashing, or see anyone roll down the stairs.” “Don’t cross your fingers yet, Howie,” Antoinette said stepping into the kitchen with Justin. “You weren’t here the other day. Just because its quiet means nothing.” Everyone just looked at each other and wondered.
