Chapter 21

Tuesday, August 31, 1999

The Boys loaded their stuff back onto the bus the next morning, as the girls stood around and talked. They looked at the girls and shook their heads, as they got their bags. After they were done they joined the girls and they all looked at each other.

“So we’re off again,” Kevin said.

“Did you see Riz, Lys, and Storm?” Valondra asked. “I wanted to say goodbye to them.”

“Nope,” Kevin said.

“They were mad because I didn’t say bye the last time and now they’re not here this time,” Valondra complained.

“I’m sure they’ll be here,” Kevin said. “We have a few minutes yet.” She just nodded and looked around then saw a cab pull up. “That might be them.” Valondra just looked at the cab and saw the three girls get out. “Told ya.”

“Hey,” Valondra said running over. “I didn’t think I’d get to say goodbye this time.” The girls smiled. “What?”

“Maybe you don’t have to,” Alyssa said.

“Excuse me?” Valondra said.

“They’re coming with,” Alexander stated and Valondra looked at them all.

“Seriously?” Valondra asked.

“Well, Riz and Lys are,” Storm replied. “I’m staying here with Lance along with Toni and Fox.”

“Oh my God,” Valondra practically yelled. “When did you decide this?”

“Last night after the show,” Alyssa said, as Kevin and Alexander got their suitcases out of the cab. “It was Kevin’s idea actually. He wanted to get to know me better so he suggested I come along.” “And Alex wanted me to tag along also,” Charisma added. “Plus the guys thought it would be a great way for us to catch up on the past couple months since we missed each other, ya know.”

“This is so great,” Valondra said hugging them both. “I’m so excited.”

“So are we,” Charisma said and they looked at the others.

“I see we’re the only one’s excited here,” Valondra said.

“I guess so,” Rachel said giving her a strange look.

“Alex, you’re not even excited,” Valondra said. “How come?”

“I could act like you and make a fool of myself,” Alexander said. “But I already knew she was coming.”

“You make a fool of yourself on your own,” Valondra stated.

“Funny,” Alexander said walking over and putting his arm around Charisma. “I’m glad she’s coming.”

“So am I,” Charisma replied, as she stuck her arm around him. “So am I.”

“Someone’s going to be enjoying these next few weeks a little more than they should,” Valondra said.

“You pervert,” Antoinette said.

“What’d I say?” Valondra asked, as Ariel and Jonathan approached them.

“Hey, guys,” Ariel said. “We have, like, five extra minutes before we head to the airport and I just wanted to say bye.”

“Bye,” the all said and all the girls shared a group hug.

“We’ll be sure to let ya know when the wedding is,” Jonathan said. “And Brian and Rachel you make sure you let us know.”

“That’s a deal, man,” Brian said putting his arm around Rachel.

“You ladies have fun,” Ariel said. “And when we see each other again remember…”

“Details, details, details,” the girls said simultaneously.

“Exactly,” Ariel said. “Just like before.”

“Babe, we really need to go,” Jonathan said.

“Yeah I know,” Ariel said. “See ya guys soon.” They all looked at each other and shared another hug. “I’m going to miss you ladies.”

“We’re going to miss you too,” Lillie said; as they left each other go.

“See ya,” Ariel said again and they watched her walk to the limousine. They watched as she got in and watched the limousine drive away.

“So are we all ready to go?” Kevin asked.

“I think so,” Howard said taking Lillie’s hand and leading her to the bus and they kissed before they got on.”

“Get a room,” Valondra said not moving from her spot. She watched them all get on the bus and Nickolas stood beside her.

Nickolas took her hand and said, “Come on, Princess.” He started to walk, but she just stayed where she was. “Loni, what’s wrong?”

“I’ve been thinking,” Valondra said and Nickolas looked at her closely. “Maybe I should just go home.” Nickolas looked at the bus, as it started up.

“I thought this is what you wanted?” Nickolas asked.

“I thought it was too, but now I’m not so sure anymore.” She sighed. “What would you do if I do decide to go back to Clearwater?”

“I’ll carry you onto that bus myself.” She looked at him. “I can’t see my life without you in it right now. This past year that we’ve been together have been so amazing and having you on the road with me the past couple months has been anything but horrible.” She grinned. “You’ve been my good luck charm and I perform better when I know you’re standing there watching me. You’re my guardian angel, Loni, and I just don’t know what I’d do.” They looked at each other. “But it’s your decision and I’m not going to force you into coming with if you don’t want to.”

“Then I’m going to stay.” He gave a disappointed sigh.

“If that’s what you want.”

“Guys, let’s go!” Kevin yelled from the bus.

“I have to go,” Nickolas said getting ready to walk away.

“Don’t I get a kiss before you go?” Valondra asked, as he turned around and took her in his arms. He looked into her eyes and then kissed her for a moment. After the kiss, Valondra said, “I’m going to miss you.”

“I’m going to miss you too.”

“I love you.”

“I love you mostest.” She smiled and he left her go. He looked at her, as he walked to the bus.

“Hey, Nick.” He stopped.

“Yeah.”

“How much do you love me?” She grinned and he smiled.

“More than you’ll ever know.”

“Then you wouldn’t be mad if I said I was only joking around with you?” He shook his head and she ran over to him and threw her arms around his neck.

“You had me on that one.” She kissed him. “I can’t believe you.” They walked to the bus hand in hand, as the others watched.

“Spending time with you beats being in Clearwater with a family that hates me.”

“True.” She smiled and kissed him again, as they got on the bus.

“Hmm, I wonder if Hollywood has an opening. It’s always been my dream anyway.”

“And you’re damn good at it.” She smiled and sat down, as the bus started moving while Nickolas smiled at her.
