*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*

Chapter 19

Alexander and Charisma were sitting at a not too classy restaurant after seeing a movie at the local drive-in. Alexander took Charisma to see the new Will Smith. He found out from Valondra that she was a huge Will Smith fan and that she was dying to see his new movie. So to score a couple points with her, he decided to take her and then afterwards he took her to the finest restaurant in Florida; on his list anyway.

“Alex, this is really great,” Charisma said before taking a bite of her fettuccini. “Thank you so much for taking me to see the new Will Smith.”

“You’re welcome,” Alexander replied. “I’ve been wanting to see it myself, but not only that, I kind of went to Valondra for some advice and she said you were dying to see it so I thought it would be nice of me to take ya.”

“That’s so sweet,” Charisma said smiling and Alexander did also. “Did you think of the restaurant yourself?”

“Yes I did. This is one of my favorite places and I wanted a place that was intimate so we could get to know each other.”

“I love it.” She sighed and took a sip of her wine. “To be honest with ya, but not to hurt your feelings or anything, but when ya first asked me out I wasn’t really thrilled about it, ya know.” He looked at her surprised. “Don’t get me wrong though, because you’re a great guy. The thing is I was, like, waiting for Howie to ask me.” She gave a slight chuckle and he grinned. “But I realized he wasn’t going to so I decided to say yes to your invite. It’s not that you’re at the bottom of my list of people I’d love to go out with some day, because you’re not. You’re, like, way up there in the top five.”

“Let me guess, D’s number one.”

“Actually no.” She smiled. “Will Smith is number one and that’s all I’m going to tell you of my list.” He smiled. “Plus when I was talking to Howie last night it occurred to me that he’s really not my type after all. He’s a sweet guy and everything, but I don’t think I want to go out with him anymore.”

“I can’t say that I blame ya, because all the ladies love Sweet D.”

“He’s just got that vibe.”

“Yeah he does.” They laughed. “I’m really having a great time tonight with you though.”

“I’m glad and I thank you for being honest with me.”

“You’re welcome. I just thought that you had a right to know.”

He nodded and asked, “May I be honest now?”

“Sure.”

“When I first saw you yesterday I was captured by your beauty. I was mesmerized actually and as I got to know you I realized that your beauty is so much deeper than the outer beauty I’m use to seeing.”

“Thank you.” She grinned.

“And the way I was feeling I never felt that way before.”

“The way I’m feeling now I never felt this way before.” He smiled and they kissed.

“My God, this is so cool,” Alyssa said, as her and Kevin took a dancing break. “I’ve always wanted to take ballroom dancing lessons, but I never had the money for the classes. Well I have the money, but I just won’t get it until I’m twenty-one.” She sighed. “This is awesome.”

“So you’re enjoying yourself then?” Kevin wanted to make sure.

“Totally,” Alyssa assured him. “How’d ya know though?”

“I didn’t,” Kevin replied. “I enjoy ballroom dancing myself and I wanted to share one of my favorite things with you.” She smiled. “So I got this dance studio for tonight and I’m sharing it with you.”

“And I’m loving it, Kevin. This was really nice of you.”

“Thank you.” She kissed his cheek. “I’m a certified instructor so I can share my talents with someone like you.”

“Does this mean I have to pay you now?”

“I’ll get back to you on that.” They laughed. “No, but seriously though, this is my gift to you and I’m not going to charge you for my time. This was my idea so you’re off the hook.”

“Thank God.” She pretended to wipe away sweat and they laughed. “I’m having so much fun with you tonight.”

“And I’m having fun with you.”

“So how long do we have this place for?”

Kevin looked at his watch and said, “Two minutes yet.” She laughed. “I could only get it until ten.”

“Hey, it’s cool.” She smiled. “Do you want to know what I like to do for fun?”

“What’s that?”

“Hang glide.”

“Excuse me?”

“I hang glide. Whenever I have nothing to do or I’m stressed out about something or even pissed I hang glide. Hell when I get the urge I hang glide.”

“Seriously?”

“Oh yeah. It’s the best feeling in the world having the wind in your face. It’s like you’re free and nothing can touch you for that whole time you’re up there.” She smiled. “I know a guy who’s, like, open all night if you’re interested.” He just looked at her closely. “Come one it’ll be fun. You shared with me what you love to do so I want to share with you what I love to do.” He grinned. “It’s only fair.”

“Let’s do it then. It’s been awhile since I just said ‘screw it’.”

“Great, let’s go. Come on.” She grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the studio.

“I had fun tonight, Lance,” Storm said, as they walked around Lake Eola. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” Lance said. “I had fun also.” She smiled.

“What made you say yes to Loni’s suggestion?” Storm wanted to know.

“Well,” Lance started, “I thought you were a very nice girl so I decided taking you out would be a great way in getting to know you better.” She looked at him.

“So Loni didn’t say anything about me being bummed over a break-up and that I only attracted losers?” He looked at her surprised. “She does it all the time and it’s kind of annoying.”

“I’m sure she just wants the best for her friends and doesn’t think there is any harm in trying to help them find happiness.”

“Well no, but I’m capable of finding a guy myself.”

“Loni said they’re all losers.”

“Not all of them were. There were a few nice ones in there that were possible futures.” They looked at each other and smiled. “But I am glad she fixed this up.”

“So am I. You’re an amazing girl, Storm, and I’m glad I met ya.”

“Well I wasn’t going to leave Orlando until we met up to be honest. Loni’s known ya for over a year and she didn’t even bother introducing us so it was my mission to get it to happen.” They laughed. “I am being serious, ya know.”

“I didn’t doubt ya.”

“Good.” They continued walking. “The night was beautiful, the restaurant was great, and the food, my God was it delicious.”

“I’m glad ya liked it.”

“And the company was amazing.”

“Yes it was.” They stopped and looked at each other. “I’m glad you’re friends with Valondra.”

“Why?”

“Because I probably wouldn’t have met you if you weren’t.”

She smiled and said, “Well I’m glad Antoinette got hooked up with Justin, because we probably wouldn’t have met. And I’m extremely glad you get along with the BSB.”

“So am I.” She smiled and he kissed her. She pulled away surprised and just looked at Lance. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be.” She smiled again and this time she kissed him.
