*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*

Chapter 16

“Hey, Lance,” Valondra said walking after him and he stopped and looked at her. “I didn’t think you were coming tonight.”

“Well we weren’t going to, but the girls wanted to see the show tonight,” Lance replied. “So we all decided to stop by and check it out with them.”

“Cool,” Valondra said. “It’s nice to see you all getting along and then laugh at the stories the media throws out.” They smiled. “Anyway, I’m glad you’re here though.”

“Oh,” Lance said. “Why?”

“You know my friend Storm Cronin, right?” He nodded, as they started walking.

“She’s a really nice girl.”

“Nice enough to go out with?” He looked at her. “I’m being serious. She’s been down on her luck lately with guys and she’s really into you if you haven’t figured that out yet. I thought it would be nice of me to get you to go out with her. Even if it’s just once. I mean maybe she’ll feel a little better about herself when it comes to guys.” He sighed. “I know I felt a lot better when I got with Nick.”

“Yeah, sure. I’d love to.”

“Really?” He nodded. “I wouldn’t be asking you if I didn’t think it was important.”

“Ok.”

“Plus, she’s trying to get over this loser guy she was dating and I think you’d be the perfect medicine now that she’s met you.” She smiled and so did he.

“I’m honored to help out.”

“Cool, I really appreciate it.”

“It’s nothing.”

“Ok, that’s all I wanted.”

“Alright. Talk to ya later then.” She nodded.

“Ok.” They walked their separate ways.

“Loni,” Storm said, and she turned around. “There you are. Nick’s looking for ya.”

“He is, is he,” Valondra said and Storm nodded. “Well where is he?”

“The last I saw him he was headed to the dressing room,” Storm replied. “You’re so lucky. How long have you been with him now? Twenty years?”

“Don’t I wish,” Valondra replied, as they laughed. “Try one year, two months, and twenty-two days, but 20 years sounds good though. In 20 years we’ll be what? Thirty-nine?” They looked at each other and made a face. “Eww.”

“Yeah, eww.” They laughed and began to walk. “So I was wondering.” Valondra looked at her. “I know Lance and I just met and all, but…”

“But, Honey, I’m already a step ahead of you.” Storm looked at her. “And he said yes. You can thank me now. Go on, go ahead. Do it now.”

“Thank you, Loni.” She locked her arm in Valondra’s and laid her head on her shoulder.

“You’re welcome.” They spotted Kevin, Alexander, and Howard.

“Ladies,” Alexander said. “Loni, Nick’s looking for you.”

“Yeah I know,” Valondra replied. “Where is he?”

“I just came from the dressing room and that’s where he was,” Howard answered.

“Alright,” Valondra replied. “I’ll be back, Storm. Guys entertain her.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Alexander replied sarcastically, as Valondra just gave him a look and walked away. “So, Storm, you having a great time hanging out?”

“Mmmhmm,” Storm said. “I still can’t believe it. Loni’s known you guys for over a year and I just now get to meet ya’s.”

“Just be glad you’re one of the lucky one’s that did,” Kevin stated. “Not many of our fans do.”

“I am lucky,” Storm said. “But Loni’s luckier.”

“Why’s that?” Kevin questioned.

“Because she’s going out with the one and only Nick Carter,” Storm answered.

“There you guys are,” Brian said, as he, Rachel, Charisma, Alyssa, and Lillie approached. “Where’s Frack?”

“In the dressing room with Valondra,” Alexander said in an all hot and bothered tone while picking on Nickolas and Valondra also. “Those two need to get a room.”

“For your information, Alex,” Valondra started, as her and Nickolas came up behind them, “we did have a room and no we weren’t doing anything.” They all raised an eyebrow. “That’s any of your business anyway.”

“Yeah right,” Charisma snickered putting her two cents into it.

“Why must everyone insist on nosing in our business?” Valondra questioned.

“Because it’s fun,” Alexander answered. “You’re young and in love and it’s so cute.”

“Whatever,” Valondra and Nickolas said in unison, as the others just laughed about it and Valondra added, “Laugh all you want now, but you’re day’s are coming.”

“Yeah sure,” Alyssa said. “We’ll be waiting.”

“Where’s Toni?” Kevin asked.

“She is with Justin somewhere,” Rachel said. “At least she was with him ten minutes ago anyway.”

“Toni’s in love,” Lillie replied.

“Lillie,” Howard said. “Watch what you say.”

“It’s alright, D,” Alexander stated. “It’s time to move on.”

“Whatever you say man,” Howard said looking at Charisma who looked at him and smiled.

“Guys,” their bodyguard interrupted. “It’s about that time.”

“Alright,” Kevin said. “Let’s go.” They began walking to the stage and Valondra asked Nickolas, “I thought you were going to play sick tonight for some ecstasy?”

“Well I was going to,” Nickolas began, “but then I got a glimpse of all the fans out there, ya know, and I just couldn’t let them down, ya know.”

“Right,” Valondra said.

“You disappointed?” Nickolas asked.

“No,” Valondra said and Nickolas looked at her. “I was only kidding about the whole ecstasy thing anyway.”

“Are you telling me that you got me all excited over nothing?” Nickolas wanted to know and Valondra just smiled. “Oh, I could…”

“You could what?” Valondra asked.

“You’ll find out tonight after the show,” Nickolas stated. “But for now just give me a kiss for good luck.”

“That’s no problem,” Valondra said doing as he requested.
