Kaci wakes up to her phone ringing. She finds herself in A.J.’s arms and reaches over to get her phone.
“Hi mom,” Kaci says, and also wakes A.J. up.
“I woke you up, didn’t I?”
“Yeah, Alex and I were up late last night talking and catching up.”
“Oh that’s good to hear. Have you heard from your friend?”
“Who?”
“Kim.”
“No, why?”
“Because I was at the apartment for a half hour and she never showed up and I couldn’t get a hold of her.”
“Alright, I’ll call you back.”
Kaci tries calling Kim but also gets her voicemail. Kaci in turn calls Nick.
“Hey shorty, what’s up?” Nick says answering his phone.
“Where’s your sister?”
“She’s up in Parkland at Jane’s house, why?”
“Well that’s just wonderful,” Kaci says noticeably pissed off.
“Why do you say that Jess?”
“Well, for starters, she told me that she would meet my mom at the apartment. She’s been there for a half hour and Kim’s not answering her phone.”
“Hold on, let me try calling her,” Nick says grabbing his cell phone.
“Thanks Nick. Hey, call me back, let me know what happens, I’m going to get Alex up so he can take me to my meeting with Latium.”
“Alright, I’ll call you right back.”
Nick and Kaci hang up and Nick calls his sister.
“What?” Kim says answering her phone.
“Don’t you what me Kimberleigh! Where are you?”
“I’m at mom’s house, why?”
“Well, weren’t you supposed to meet Jill at the apartment?”
“Yeah, and?”
“What the hell is your problem? They’re trying to help you out. Are you ignoring her calls too?”
“I gotta go, bye.”
“Don’t you dare hang…”
Kim hangs up on Nick before he could lecture her.
“So what’s going on?” Kaci says when Nick calls her back.
“Don’t worry about her. I appreciate your help, but obviously she doesn’t so let her do this on her own.”
“You know what Nick, she may be your sister, but she’s a horrible person. Do me the favor of deleting my information from her phone because I don’t want to be bothered with someone who treats their supposed best friend like she treats me.”
“I totally understand Jess, it’s okay.”
“Thanks Nick, at least I know I can count on you.”
“Of course you can! So how’s L.A. treating you?”
“I don’t know how you guys live out here! The paparazzi are everywhere! Did you know that I’m apparently Alex’s girlfriend now?” Kaci says laughing.
“Since when? I thought you and Jose…”
“Oh god Nick, I’m joking! That’s what the caption of the pictures have been saying!”
“Oh! I got you now! Really, is that so? Have you talked to Jose about that?”
“How else do you think I found out? There’s even pictures from the hotel online! I don’t know how those got there though!”
“You mean from when you and Aje were arguing at like three in the morning?”
“Yes!”
“Wow! Some people have no life!”
“Tell me about it! But hey, I gotta get ready for this meeting. I’ll call you later. Hey, do me a favor and call my mom and let her know, will you do that for me?”
“Sure thing, what’s her number?”
“She went home, so she’s at the house.”
“Oh, okay. We’ll talk later.”
“Okay. Thanks Nick. Bye!”
Kaci and Nick hang up and she goes to get ready for her meeting with the Latium executives.
“Hey Jill, it’s Nick.”
“Hey Nick, how are you?”
“I’m good thanks. I’m sorry about my sister. I appreciate your help, but if she’s going to act like she is, then don’t even bother with her.”
“Well thank you Nick for calling and letting me know.”
“Oh, you’re welcome Mrs. Roman.”
“I’m going to go get other things taken care of. If you don’t mind, if you hear from Jess, can you tell her to give me a call? I don’t want to interrupt her meeting with the label.”
“Of course,” Nick says realizing what Mrs. Roman just said. “Wait, you know I didn’t go to L.A. with her?”
“Yes, I knew. She told me before she left she was really going with Alex.”
“Oh, okay. I wish she would’ve told me that!”
“Well, you can talk to her about that. Thanks again Nick.”
“Okay, bye Mrs. Roman.”
Nick and Mrs. Roman hang up. Meanwhile, back in Los Angeles, Kaci is having trouble getting ready for her meeting with her record company.
“I don’t know what to wear!”
“Whatever you wear is going to be fine Jess!”
Kaci finds an outfit and walks out to the living room of A.J.’s house where he is waiting for her.
“Do I look okay?”
“You always do,” A.J. says with a smile.
“Alright, we can go now.”
Kaci and A.J. leave and go to Latium for her meeting. Once her meeting is over, A.J. takes Kaci out to get something to eat.
“So how did your meeting go?” A.J. asks as him and Kaci wait for their food.
“It went good. They’re okay with what I want, and I’m okay with what they want. They were really understanding with my needs and also with my concerns. We saw eye to eye on how I don’t want to be labeled as Justin’s sister or friends with you and the rest of the Boys.”
“Well that’s great news!”
“I know! I’m excited to start this process!”
Kaci and A.J. get their food and when they’re finished they head to his house.
“Are you excited for tonight?” A.J. asks.
“Oh yes, most definitely!”
“I was talking about the show, not hanging out with Maks afterwards.”
“Oh,” Kaci says. “The answer is still yes.”
A.J. and Kaci arrive at his house.
“I’m going to go take a nap. Care to join me?”
“As much as I would love to, I’ve got some things I need to work on.”
“Alright, if you say so. I’m going to your room to rest.”
“That’s fine. I’ll join you when I’m done with what I have to do.”

Kaci goes to A.J.’s room to rest while A.J. works on writing songs for his debut solo album he is working on currently.
