A.J. reluctantly ends his mini rendezvous with Kaci and they go back to the party. After about two hours, everyone leaves, the Boys go up to their rooms, Nick and Kaley go up to A.J.’s room and A.J. and Kaci go up to her room.
“Are you going to finish what you started outside the ballroom?” Kaci asks A.J. after changing out of the dress.
“Me? You’re the one that started it!” A.J. says from the couch.
“Oh hell no! Don’t go blaming anything on me McLean! This is all your fault!”
Kaci walks into the kitchen of the room and starts to make herself a drink.
“And what are you making?” A.J. asks putting his arms around Kaci’s waist and peering over her shoulder with his chin on her shoulder.
“I’m finishing the bottle,” Kaci says.
Kaci grabs her drink and walks over to the couch with A.J.
“So are you staying here or going back to Malibu?”
“The house is for sale, I’m moving here like I told you I was,” A.J. says sitting down on the couch and grabbing Kaci to have her sit on his lap.
“But that wasn’t what I asked you! I asked if you were staying here or going back to Malibu!”
“I’m here for a week and then I’m going back to Malibu, unless the house sells quickly, then I would go to Orlando until I can move back to West Palm.”
“How long do you think it will take to sell your house?”
“It’s already been for sale for a couple weeks and there’s some people interested in it. For all I know, I could be going to Malibu to get my things and then coming right back to Florida!”
“And what if it doesn’t sell before you move back to Florida?”
“Then I’ll have to fly to Malibu for the closing, but of course if that were to happen, you are more than welcome to come to Malibu with me!”
“Awesome that sounds like fun!”
“But remember, that’s only if it doesn’t sell and I have to go back after I move here to be with you!”
“Yeah, yeah, I know you McLean, you’d take me to Malibu either way so quit the bullshit!”
“And I had to fall in love with you, little miss know it all!”
“Yeah and you love it so quit acting like you’re complaining!”
“Yes ma’am!”
“So are we staying here tonight?”
“If you don’t want to, you can go back to your house, I’m not forcing you to stay here.”
“Well, in that case…”
“Wait, you’re leaving me?”
“Got ya!” Kaci says laughing.
“Oh you little brat!” A.J. says picking Kaci up and bringing her to the bedroom.
A.J. lies Kaci down on the bed and gets in bed with her and starts kissing her in places he knows she likes to be kissed.
“If you don’t want me to do it, just tell me to stop,” A.J. says, continuing to kiss Kaci.
Kaci doesn’t say a word, so A.J. continues kissing her and moves his kisses down to her stomach.
“All you have to do is tell me to stop and I will,” A.J. says as he continues to kiss Kaci’s stomach.
“But that’s just it, I don’t want you to stop,” Kaci says sitting up and grabbing A.J.’s face and kissing him more passionately than she’s ever kissed anyone before.
“What about Jose?” A.J. says breaking the kiss.
“I love him, but everyone knows I love you more! I’d be with you but I don’t do the long distance relationship stuff!”
“But it wouldn’t be long distance since I’m moving here!”
“From the period of time you leave and go back to Malibu until you come back here to West Palm, that is long distance and I can’t do that Alex! Besides, what am I supposed to tell Jose?”
“You’re signed to Latium, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, but what do they have to do with it?”
“Don’t do it tomorrow, but I’ll call you and let you know when to do it. But all you have to do is tell him that you can’t be in your career one hundred percent and be in a relationship like you have with him one hundred percent right now. If he truly loves you like you say he does, then he’ll understand and support you one hundred percent. I know that’s what I would do if you said something to me along those lines.”
“And then what? Next thing he knows, I’m in a relationship with you?! C’mon Alex, he’s smarter than that!”
“Well, try it and if it back fires, then I’ll just tell him the truth and he can hate me for it and not you.”
“But what about jumping into a relationship with you right after?”
“Who said that we would go public with our relationship?”
“And how are you going to get around the paparazzi?” Kaci asks.“I’m surprised that you got through tonight without any!”
“Well as for tonight, Jive and WEG put out a press release that we’re in LA working on a new album. And who cares if we get seen together? We love each other Jess, people are just going to have to accept that whether they like it or not!”
Kaci’s cell phone rings and it’s Jose calling.
“Hey baby,” Kaci says answering her cell phone looking at A.J.
“Hey, are you coming home tonight? I miss you!”
“Aww! I miss you too! But I thought that you were spending the night at Tyler’s house? I’m spending the night at Nick’s house because of you telling me that! And I don’t have my car, so I can’t leave and Nick is already sleeping!”
“You are so bad!” A.J. whispers.
“Well how about I come pick you up?”
“And scare the shit out of Nick, I’d rather not! But I’ll be home tomorrow after we both wake up and get ready, okay baby?”
“Well, alright. I’ll be thinking about you all night.”
“Where are you spending the night?”
“Well, Tyler is still out, so I can’t go to his house, I wouldn’t feel right going to your house without you there and I’m not about to go to my mom’s house, so I’ll just go to a hotel.”
“Aww baby, just go to the house, Justin should be there, he’d let you in!”
“But how will he know I’m there? I don’t have his number!”
“Hold on a second, let me get you his number,” Kaci says putting her phone on speaker and looking through her phone book on her phone for her brother’s number.
“So how was your day with Nick?” Jose asks while Kaci’s looking for Justin’s number.
“It was good. We had a lot of fun out on the boat. I got his number, do you want me to tell it to you or text it to you?”
“Text it to me, that way I know it’s right!”
“Alright, I’ll text it to you. But I’m going to sleep now because I know Nick and he will be in here bright and early trying to get me up, so goodnight baby, te quiero mucho mi amor,” Kaci says.
“Te quiero mucho too,” Jose says. “Sweet dreams mi amor,” Jose says then hangs up.
Kaci hangs up with Jose and A.J. looks at her.
“What?” Kaci says as she’s texting Justin’s number to Jose.
“Te quiero mucho mi amor?”
“Si, pero you know te quiero mucho too!”
“Really? How are you going to prove that one?”
“You’ll see. You just have to wait.”
“Wait?! I’ve waited long enough just to have you back and now you’re going to make me wait even longer?”
“Oh, it’s bad enough that I have to lie to Jose, my best friend, but now you’re complaining about time?”
A.J. gets up out of the bed and walks out to the living room.
“Alex?” Kaci says from the bedroom.
A.J. doesn’t answer and instead walks out of the hotel room all together.
“Alex,” Kaci says unaware A.J. isn’t even there any more.
When A.J. doesn’t answer, Kaci gets up out of bed to realize that A.J. left.
“Nick,” Kaci says when he answers his cell phone.
“What’s wrong Jess?”
“It’s Alex. I swear to you I didn’t do anything! All I did was say ‘te quiero mucho mi amor’ to Jose when I hung up with him after he called me and Alex flipped! Nick, I don’t know where he went or what to do!”
“Hold on, we’ll be right up.”
“Okay, call me so I know it’s you when you get here,” Kaci says hanging up.
Kaci hangs up with Nick. Nick tells Kaley what happened and they both leave.
“Jess, open the door,” Nick says when Kaci answers her phone.
“I’ll be right there,” Kaci says then hangs up.
Kaci gets up out of bed and goes to open the door for Nick.
“Where’s Kaley?” Kaci asks.
“She went to go find Aje,” Nick says walking into the room, closing the door.
Nick and Kaci sit down on the couch and talk.
“So what exactly happened Jess?” Nick says pulling Kaci close to him so that his arm is around her and her head is on his shoulder.
“Jose called, I answered and kept it short. He was going to stay at a hotel but I told him to go to the house and Justin would let him in and he said to text him Justin’s number. So when we hung up, not to make him suspicious, I said ‘te quiero mucho mi amor’ and when I actually hung up with Jose, Alex flipped! He was quiet the whole time but flipped when I told Jose I love him in Spanish!”
“Maybe you shouldn’t have said what you did,” Nick says.
“Ya think?!” Kaci says sarcastically.
Kaci gets comfortable lying on the couch with Nick.
“So where do you think he went?” Kaci asks Nick.
“He either went to the beach or he’s still somewhere in the hotel.”
“Hopefully Kaley finds him soon!”
“Hopefully,” Nick says running his fingers through Kaci’s hair.
