Chapter Twenty-Six
“Who was that Jess?” Jose asks coming out of Kaci’s bathroom.
“Oh, it was Alex. He called my cell phone and Justin gave him this number. He wanted to talk so I told him I would call him back later.”
“Talk about what?”
“I don’t know! All I know is he’s moving back to Florida next month. I know you know I love Alex dearly, but I love you more than anything so don’t worry about Alex!”
“So you two are just friends?”
“¡Sí bebé! ¡Usted debería escuchar a su corazón, no su cabeza!” (Yes baby! You should listen to your heart, not your head!)
“There you two go again talking in Spanish!” Tyler says coming in from the bathroom down the hall.
“Alright, I guess it’s time to hit the hot tub then,” Kaci says grabbing Jose’s hand.
“What about the puppy?” Tyler asks.
“I don’t take her outside because she has a tendency of falling in the pool. She’ll be fine in here.”
“Oh, alright.”
Kaci, Jose and Tyler head back out to the pool.
“You guys want anything to drink?”
“What do you have?” Tyler asks.
“In the main house there’s Corona, Miller Lite, Bicardi Rum and Parrott Bay coconut flavored Rum. The same is in the guest house but Frankie bought some Tequila and Hypnotic earlier.”
“I’ll take a Miller Lite.”
“You want a Corona baby?” Kaci asks Jose.
“Sure.”
“Alright, I’ll be right back.”
Kaci goes back to the main house and gets two Miller Lite’s and a Corona.
“Where you guys going?” Kaci asks Justin and Angela as she passes them on her way back out to the pool.
“To sleep. Don’t wake me up tonight when you come in the house alright,” Justin says.
“Whatever J. I’ll talk to you in the morning because I don’t appreciate what you just did!”
“What did I do?”
“We’ll discuss it later. My friends await me at the hot tub.”
“Why does it have to wait until the morning, why can’t we discuss it right now?”
“Because we will discuss it in the morning!” Kaci says then heads out to the hot tub without even waiting for a response from Justin.
Justin and Angela go inside the main house up to his room while Kaci joins everyone else at the hot tub.
“Here you go,” Kaci says handing Tyler his Miller Lite.
“Thanks,” Tyler says as Kaci gets in the hot tub and sits next to Jose.
“Here brat,” Kaci says handing Jose his Corona.
Everyone has miscellaneous conversations for about an hour.
“Alright guys, I’m gonna hit the sack and you guys should too!” Kaci says getting out of the hot tub.
“I’m going with her,” Jose says getting out of the hot tub.
“Who’s sleeping where?” Frankie asks.
“I’m going to the guest house, meet me there in five minutes to find out!”
Kaci and Jose head to the guest house.
“I feel bad leaving Tyler there with people he doesn’t know!” Kaci says.
“Don’t worry about him, I’m sure he has worked his charm on some of them already,” Jose says with a smirk.
“And what was that smirk for?”
“You didn’t hear this from me, but Tyler likes Kim.”
“Oh my god, are you serious?”
“Dead serious, why?”
Kaci and Jose go inside the guest house.
“So do you think Kim and Tyler will hook up?” Kaci asks from the kitchen where she is getting a glass of Sprite.
“I don’t know, it depends on your girl,” Jose says sitting on the couch turning the television on.
“Come here,” Kaci says from the hallway between the kitchen and her room in the guest house.
“Jess, your friends aren’t going to like that every time we leave them we go off and fool around and have sex.”
“Are you complaining?”
“No, but…”
“But nothing. I need your help getting the rooms ready real quick. Maybe your mind is on sex, but right now mine isn’t!”
Jose goes and helps Kaci get the three bedrooms ready for Nick, Kaley, Kim and Frankie.
“Is everyone staying in here?”
“No, Tyler is staying in the main house with us. Just Nick, Kaley, Kim and Frankie are staying out here in the guest house.”
“Jess!” Nick yells walking in the guest house.
“I’ll be out in a second Nick!” Kaci yells from the bedroom.
Kaci and Jose finish getting the bedrooms ready and then go out to the living room.
“Alright, your rooms are ready,” Kaci says as she sits down next to Nick.
“Awesome! So aren’t you going to show us to our rooms?” Nick asks putting his arm around Kaci.
“Alright fine, who goes to their room first?”
“I volunteer Kim,” Nick says.
“Fine,” Kim says getting up.
Kaci and Kim head towards the bedrooms.
“You have your choice of this room or this room,” Kaci says pointing to the rooms across from each other.
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Frankie!” Kaci yells. “Come here!”
“Yes Jess?” Frankie asks when he meets Kaci and Kim by the rooms.
“Which room do you want?”
“What’s the difference?”
“The interior one doesn’t have a bathroom in it like this one does,” Kaci says.
“I’ll take the interior one then. I don’t need a bathroom in the room,” Frankie says.
“Alright, rooms are settled, time to go to bed,” Kaci says then leaves Kim and Frankie.
Kaci goes back out to the living room and sits on the couch between Jose and Nick.
“Hey shorty,” Nick says putting his arm around Kaci.
“Let’s get you and Kaley to your room.”
Kaci, Nick and Kaley get up from the couch and Nick puts his arms around Kaley and Kaci as they head towards the bedroom.
“Alright, you two are staying in my favorite room in the guest house besides the studio and my room.”
“Awesome,” Nick says.
“I will see you in the morning,” Kaci says giving Nick a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “It was nice to meet you Kaley. I’m sure we’ll be spending a lot of time hanging out,” Kaci says looking at Nick and giving Kaley a hug.
“Nice to finally meet you too.”
Kaci leaves Nick and Kaley and goes back to the living room.
“Alright, let’s get back to the main house,” Kaci says when she gets back to the living room where Jose and Tyler are.
Kaci, Jose and Tyler leave the guest house and go back to the main house.
“Tyler, you know that room that was across from the bathroom you changed in?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s your room. I’d show you but I’m so tired, unless Jose wants to show you to your room.”
“I’ll do that and then be right in,” Jose says.
