Chapter 20

The rest of the evening was a success. Everyone enjoyed the food and after the game was over they put on some music.

“All right Regina, you can rap, you can flow, but can you dance?” Proof asked pulling her off the couch by both hands.

“Oh come on, I’m not dancing, that’s Ernelle’s department,” Regina whined as Proof pulled her.

“Uh, nope, you’re dancing, yo Ace, put something good on!” Proof called.

“This is not fair, I’m not all the way drunk yet, I can’t dance till I’m three sheets to the wind,” Regina said laughing. She’d only had two beers and was no where near being drunk. Ace changed the CD in the player and cranked the volume. All Regina had to hear were the opening chords of the song and she shook her head laughing.

“Aw hell no! I am not dancing to ‘Ass Like That!’” They all laughed.

“Here, I’ll put something on,” Ernelle said turning the song off. She searched through the CD’s and finally pulled one out.

“I found a classic Regina,” Ernelle grinned as she hit the play button.

“Oh you did didn’t you? All right Proof, stand back, me and Ernelle will show you how it’s done!” Regina said grabbing Ernelle as the speakers blared out “Peaches and Cream”.

Eminem sat back and watched Regina, ignoring the fact that there were other people in the room. The girl could dance, working out choreography with Ernelle in the middle of the living room floor. She flashed him a smile as she whipped her hips and turned back around. He had to take her dancing sometime. He could only imagine what it’d be like having her dancing up against him.

Too soon the song ended and they shut the music off. Regina said she had to start putting the food away before it went bad, and told Ernelle to pull out a movie.

“I’ll help,” Em said following her quickly into the kitchen.

“Hey boy,” she said looking back at him as he followed her. She started wrapping up the leftover chicken, there wasn’t much since there had been nine guys eating.

“You’re a great dancer,” he said as he moved up behind her, taking her waist between his hands.

“Thank you,” she smiled, liking how forward he was. She turned around to face him so that she could see the look on his face.

“This was real nice tonight.” He said, taking a step closer.

“Yeah, well I know it’s not the Ritz but,” his lips closed on hers before she could say anything else.

“Oh sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt any thing. Guess you two don’t want to watch the movie,” Proof said grinning. Em looked over at him and shook his head.

“No, we’re a bit busy.” Regina laughed. “We’ll be out in a minute,” she said leaning back against the counter. He nodded and left.

“Now why did you tell him that?” he asked leaning into her.

“Because I have guests, and it’s rude to ignore them,” she replied putting a hand up on his neck.

“So what? I’d just kick them out,” he said grinning at her.

“Well, you see, that’s the thing, I’m not you,” she smiled at him, gave him a kiss on his cheek, and went back out to the living room.
