**Second Chances**

Tiffany had decided to call everyone up to see if they wanted to come over for a little get together. She had decided to call everyone and see if they wanted to come over. Tiffani was in the kitchen when AJ walked in. " Hey sweetie what are you doing?" he asked. " I'm calling everyone to see if they watned to come over tonight." " Are they?" " Yeah, but I haven't gotten a hold of Jackie yet. I left a message for her to come over or call when she gets the chance." " I hope she does because it's first day back and well she needs her friends. The question is how is Howie going to take it?" " Hopefully that doesn't stop him, because they still love eachother." AJ said. Later that night everyone had shown up, the very last person what Howie. He had knocked on the door and AJ answered it. " Hey, come in. Everyone is in the patio." he said. " Everyone is here that's cool." Howie said and while walking he stopped. " What's wrong?" " Jackie's here?" he asked. " Yeah, she got in about a yesterday. Go in there and talk to her." AJ said. AJ and Howie walked in the patio and AJ noticed that he kinda froze up. Jackie was sitting at the table with Leigh and Tiffani talking and laughing. Tiff looked out in the corner of her eye and saw that Howie was already there. " Hi, Jackie. How are you?" he asked. " I'm doing okay and how are you?" she said looking into his eyes. " Same." he said as Back To Your Heart began to play. They both looked away and Jackie tried to hold back tears. Leighanne got up and went to talk to Brian and came with him. " Jackie, would you like to dance?" he asked. " Umm, sure." she said and grabbed his hand. As they were dancing Howie looked at Jackie and wanted to have her back in his arms again. Leighanne had noticed the look in his eyes and talked to him. " D, why don't you go and ask her to dance?" she said. " I don't know. I don't want to make things complicated as it is anyway. She just got married and I can't complicate it." " If you don't then she's going to know that you guys can't be friends. Just dance with her once." Leigh said. Howie slowly walks to Brian and ask if he can cut he and he lets him. As they begin to dance Jackie took a deep breathe and sighed, as Howie had her in his arms he had this aching feeling inside him. She closed her eyes, held back tears and sighed. " Look at them. They were meant to be." Nick said. " Yeah they were, but they are both hurting. Who's hurting more? Jackie being his arms or Howie having her in his arms?" Leigh asked. As they continued to dance Jackie had flashed back to their first dance and their first kiss. Then out of nowhere Jackie said something that surprised him. " I love you." she whispered. " I love you too and never stopped." Just then Jackie stopped dancing, looked at Howie and then left. " I got to go." she said and left. When she ran past everyone, they wanted to know wanted to know what was going on. " What happened?" Leigh asked. " I don't know we were just dancing and then, she left. I can't be here anymore. It's hurting me more and more every minute. I had to restrain myself from kissing her. "he said and left. About an hour later, Jackie came back to the house and everyone wanted to know if she was okay. " Jackie you okay?" Nick asked. " Yeah I am. I'm just going to go home. Tiff, I will call you tomorrow." " Jackie, let me take you home." Nick said. " No, I can drive. I will call you when I get home." she said and left.

About two hours later, AJ called Howie to if he was at home. " Hello!" Howie answered. " Hey D, it's me calling to see if you are okay." AJ said. " I'm doing okay. I had to get out of there. How is everything there?" " It's quiet, because everyone is watching a basketball game in the living room." " Is Jackie there?" " No, she went home. I guess she's tired."

Meanwhile Jackie was about to walk in the door as the phone rang. She put down her keys and kicked off her shoes and went in her bedroom to change. Just as the machine kicked in. " This is Jackie, I'm not home right now leave amessage at the beep." " Hey Jackie, it's me Nick, I guess your not home yet? So call me when you get in k? As the message ended Jackie walked out of her bed room and sat on the couch reading her mail that she brought in from outside. When she noticed the machine blinking, so she pressed play and she listen it was Nick. She decided to give him a call. She let the phone ring on the forth ring he picked up. "Hi Nick, I just got home and received your message." Jackie said. "About time you called, I was worried sick with the way you left the house." he said. "I'm ok really. Its just that being back in Howie's arms brought back memories of before we broke up, the happy times and before I married Josh.Its just so hard to forgetting what we had. I dunno what am going to do? " " Well what does your heart say?" he asked. " It's so confusing right now. I still love Howie but then again I'm married to Josh." " Here's what I want you to do." he said. " What's that?" " Take a bubble bath, turn everything off and after that go to bed and don't worry about anyone." he said. " You always know what to say." she said. " Of course, I do. I will call you tomorrow. Good Night, Jackie." he said. " Good Night, Nick." she said and they both hung up.
