Second ChancesThis story is about a love. A love was broken, but found its way to find back to the lives of very two special people. This is a story about Howie Dorough and his wife Jackie. Jackie Stanford and her fiancee Howie Dorough were entertaining their guest at their engagement party. While talking to some of their guest, Howie's bandmates, AJ and Nick had a surprise for them. " Can we have everyone attention." Nick said and everyone looked towards them. " Okay for most of you here today, you don't know how these two got back together. All of us up here were every step of the way." AJ said. " Jackie, Howie our gift to you today is going down memory lane. Now everyone sit down, because its going to be awhile." Jackie looked at Howie and shook her head and went into the kitchen. The first person up was Tiffany. It had started when Jackie and Howie had broken up. Jackie had told Howie that she had accepted a job from a high school friend who was a Hollywood star. " You knew when the tour was over that I was going to find another job. What makes this different?" " What makes it different? Well that fact is that you'll be in LA living, you will be non stop, I won't see you hardly and that you'll be too busy for me." " Hello! Newsflash Howie, you are too busy for me now. That doesn't change it. I will be doing what I love and that's being an assistant. This happens to be a childhood friend of mines. Why can't you support me on that? Like I have been with you. All I ask is some support. Let me do what I want to do. When Josh isn't filming or traveling I will be back." " I wish you would've talked to me about it first." " Damn it, Howie. Trust me on this. I don't ask you to stop what you are doing, I trust you on everything you do. When I ask for it in return you can't give it to me." " How can I trust you when headlines read," Mystery Woman in Josh Hartnett's life" and there is a picture of the two of you cozy." " Well you know what. If you can't trust me in this decision and you can't trust me working for my friend, then I guess we should call it a quits?" " If that's what you want." " No, I dont want it. But you aren't leaving me any choice here. Good bye Howie." she said crying and left. Later that night, Jackie was packing her stuff to leave for Los Angeles tomorrow. As she was packing, Jackie had came upon a picture of them that was taken a week ago. She was holding the picture as she sat on the bed. Jackie began crying more and more when she had realized her relationship with Howie was over. As she was finishing up her packing, the phone rang and she looked at the Caller ID. When the number came up it was Howie and the machine picked up. " I'm not home right now, so leave a message I'll get back to you." " It's me. I just wanted to wish you good luck, see you around." and hung up. When Howie left that message Jackie looked at the picture she was holding and threw it across the room. " Damn you Howie. How can we just through away what we had. Three years together and it ended because of my taking this job. All I wanted was support but I didn't get it from you. Damn you. " she said and yelled and fell to the ground crying. Jackie was in the patio sitting down when the door bell rang. She had just finished looking over the house one more time before she left. Jackie got up and looked to see who it was. When she opened the door everyone except Howie was there. " Guys, what are you doing here?" she asked. " We wanted to say Good Bye to you and wish you luck." AJ said and hugged her. " We also brought breakfast over and spend time with you." Tiffany said. " Thanks guys. You don't know how much this means to me." They all went into the kitchen and had noticed how clean it was. While looking over the kitchen Jackie handed the keys to Nick. " Now you are going to take care of my house while I live in LA right?" she asked. " Of course I am. Okay everyone, every Friday night party over here." he said and smiled at Jackie. " Are you excited?" " Of course I am. I'm doing what I want to do and it's with someone I grew up with. What more can I ask?" she said and held back tears.
