Valentine’s Day is supposed to be the most wonderful day out of the year. The day for couples, love and romance. Today is that very day “Hey baby” Nick said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. “Hey sweetie…” and kiss him “What are your plans for today?” “Hmmm” “Well.. it’s cleared now.. “ “What have you got up your sleeve, Carter?” “Nothing..” with a mischievous smile. “Whatever.. you're as innocent as my little pinky” “Oh really?” and he kisses me. “Well I have to go.. I’ll call you later.” I have been thinking about what he said all day. I couldn’t get it out of my head. ‘What is he up to?’ Things kept going through my head. I knew it was Valentine’s Day but I remembered that we had decided on not doing anything this year, so it couldn’t be that. A couple hours later.. “Hey sweetheart” “Hi, baby” “You remember that one sundress that you wore the day that I asked you out?” “Yes.. why?” “Put it on tonight.. and I will be here at 6” “What for Nick?..” “Just wear it and I will be here at 6… bye” Several hours later... He rings the doorbell, dressed in khaki’s and a nice shirt. “Wow.. you.. you look beautiful.” I blush.. “Thanks..” and he hands me a red rose. I smell it and smile and whisper “thank you” He goes out to the car and he opens the door for me like a gentleman. We pull up to one of the finest restaurants in town. “Nick.. you shouldn’t have…” “I want to.. “ We eat and drink champagne. We talk and laugh… Then he gets up and takes my hand and pulls me out into the open area in the middle of the room and we start to dance. Everyone turns and looks at us. “Everyone is staring at us… “ "No.. they are staring at you , beautiful” I smile and start to laugh a little. After dinner, but before he get back into the car.. Nick stops and turns. “Come here…” He puts a blindfold on me and takes my hand “What are you doing?” “Nothing.. Surprising you.. just follow me” “ok.. “ We got in the car and drove for what seemed like an hour. He carefully got me out of the car and directed me down a path. We get down to the shore and Nick takes off the blindfold as the sun is setting in the distance. “Nick.. it’s.. gorgeous…” “I know.. just like you.. my angel” and kisses me passionately Then we go and walk along the beach hand in hand. “Nick.?..” “what ?..” “oh nevermind..” “what is it? Brie..” “ I.. I thought that we decided we weren’t going to do anything for today.. “ “I know we did but I wanted to do it…. And I couldn’t resist. “ “I couldn’t either.. I got you something” “you didn’t” “I did” with a big smile and I go back to the car and get it and hand the envelope to him. “Season tickets for the Bucs?.. Brie.. I.. I don’t know what to say…. Wow… thank you” “Your welcome.. I knew it would make your day. “ “You did.. in more ways than one” There's a little silence and he grabs a blanket from behind me and wraps his arm around my waist and we go back towards the shore. We lay down on it and we are looking up at the sky and he says “well I got you something too.” “Are you serious?.. you have done so much already..” “Yes.. but you have to find it” “What do you mean?” "I have it on me.. you have to find it” with a smile. I giggle and start my search. I run my hands down his chest, feeling the strong muscles underneath my fingertips. I go down and to his feet and take off his shoes and socks, finding nothing.. I make my way up his strong legs to his midsection. I can feel him getting hard but just smile. I move my hands up to his waist and I feel something in his pocket. I reach down and get it. I pull out a small velvet box.. “Nick.. you didn’t have to.." “Open it.. “ I look up at him and I open it. In the box, was a heart necklace with I love you written in the inside. Tears came to my eyes and I didn’t know what to say, it was so beautiful. “Do you like it?” I look up at him and say, “Of course I do… Its..beautiful… thank you.. thank you so much..” He smiles and says “here let me put it on you”. And he puts it around my neck. “There.. it looks wonderful on you.. “ I look at it.. and smile. “I love you, Nick” “I love you too….” And he kisses me deeply and passionately. As the kisses get deeper and more passionate.. things start to heat up and we make love there on the beautiful, peaceful beach. Before we slip off to dreamland.. “Happy Valentine’s sweetheart” “Happy Valentine’s”
