~*Chapter 83 *~
Brian and Lisa now had their own apartment.They sat on the couch
cuddling,and Lisa looked around.
"This is a nice place we got here,if I do say so myself," she commented.
Brian leaned over and kissed her."I agree," he said,running his fingers
through her hair.
She turned to face him then and their lips met in a warm kiss.
"I think I'm gonna like this living together arrangement," she
murmered,as his kisses travelled over to her neck.
Just then the phone rang,and they both groaned in unison.
"Our first call," he said,and reached over and picked up the phone.He
made a face,and said,"No,this is not Papa's Pizza Parlor." Lisa laughed.When
he had hung up,she pushed him back on the couch,and they began to kiss.
She removed his shirt and slowly began to kiss his chest.After a few
minutes,he looked up at her."Let's go christen our new bed," he suggested.
She pulled him up and toward the bedroom."Good Idea," she murmered.

A FEW HOURS LATER...Nick and Amy were still sitting on his couch,talking
about their problems.They both felt a little better after talking things
out,and finally Amy stood up and stretched.
"I'd better get going.It's getting late," she said,glancing at her
watch.She smiled."It was nice seeing you again.Maybe we can get together
again."
He nodded."That's be great," he said.
She held her arms out and they hugged.When they pulled apart,she gazed up
at him."Take care of yourself.And good luck with Blane," she told him.
He found himself moving closer to her,as though he was a magnet being
drawn to her."Thanks," he murmered.A second later,their lips met,and they
shared a brief kiss.They jumped apart,realizing what had just happened.
He ran his fingers through his hair."Sorry.I don't know why I did that,"
he said,and walked over to the window.The moon shone down on the
water,reflecting off of it like glass.
She walked over and gently touched his arm,and he turned around and faced
her.She stepped toward him,and ran her fingers through his hair.
"I think we both need each other's company tonight,Nick," she
whispered.She pulled his face down to hers and kissed him.
At first he resisted,but soon found himself wanting her.He wanted to kick
himself at the same time~what the hell was he doing?He was totally faithful
to Blane.He tried not to think of her as he and Amy continued to kiss,their
tongues exploring each other's mouths.
Finally,realizing what was happening,he pushed away from her."I can't do
this.I love Blane,Amy," he told her.
She smiled."I think we're both just feeling real vulnerable right now,"
she said.She traced her finger along the front of his shirt."NIck,can I
confess something to you?," she asked.
He nodded."Sure," he replied,running his finger across her cheek,unable
to stop thinking of her.
She blushed and looked down at the floor."I've had a crush on you for so
long," she said.She laughed."I know that sounds crazy."
He shook his head."Not at all.I've had a crush on you for some time too,"
he said.He stepped back."I can't believe we're telling each other this.Like
you said,we're both vulnerable right now."
She began to kiss him again,this time with intensity.This time he didn't
step away but instead began to unbutton her blouse.He slipped it off,and
brought his hands around to the clasp of her bra and took it off.
"Nick,maybe we should stop," she said,but he shook his head as he lead
her to the bedroom and they fell onto the bed.
She removed all his clothes,and he laid on top of her.She was yearning
for him,and she looked up at him.
"Let's do this tonight and just forget about it in the morning.We both
deserve a little excitement right now," she said.
He suddenly stood up ,pulling on his boxer shorts.He turned to her.
"I can't believe what we were just about to do.I've known you my whole
life,and we were gonna throw everything away just because we've been hurt by
the ones we love." He sat on the bed next to her."I love Blane,Amy.I can't be
with you like this."
She ran her fingers through his hair and smiled."It's OK," she said.
A few minutes later,they were both dressed again and standing on the
wooden deck,the ocean breeze whipping around them.
He gave her a hug."Let's not mention what just happened to
anyone,OK?It'll just be between us," he said.
She nodded.A few minutes later,she was gone,and he stood staring out at
the ocean,thinking of a way to try to get Blane back.

Nick was awoken by the sound of the front door opening,and he jumped up
and peered through the darkness.It was 2:30 am,and he grabbed a flashlight
and walked toward the living room.
He was surprised when he saw Blane.She jumped when she noticed him.
"Go back to sleep Nick.I just came to get a few things," she told him.
He walked over to her."Blane,can we at least talk about what happened
before?," he begged her.
She sighed and tuerned to him."I went over to Mandy's because I got to
thinking about what you said~about the way she treated you in the past.And
she confessed to having lied about you two sleeping together.She also told me
you came over tonight and how upset you were," she told him.She gazed at
him."I'd like to hear what really happened the other night NIck."
He took a deep breath."When we were done eating dinner,she tried to
seduce me.She said she wanted me back,and I got mad at her and rejected
her,and she said she was going to tell you lies about me.I went over to her
place tonight to tell her to stay away from you and me both." He took another
deep breath."Oh baby.Can't you see the way she is?She'd do anything to keep
us apart,just so she can have me all to herself."
Blane gazed up at him."Why did you lie to me about going over there?,"
she asked.
He took her hand."I knew you'd flip out.But I swear to you,she's out of
my life for good now," he told her.
She gave him a small smile."Let's always be truthful with each
other,OK?Never hide anything," she said.
He nodded,unable to stop feeling guilty about what had happened between
him and Amy earlier.She was never going to find out about that,that was for
sure!
She reached up and pulled his face down to hers,and they kissed.He moaned
softly as the kiss grew deeper.
Finally,he pulled away."I'm glad we were able to work this out.I love you
so much Blane," he replied.
She smiled."And I love you too baby," she answered,and took his hand and
led him toward the bedroom.
