Marsh Fork BullDogs 2000-2001

Pictures below are the sectional game against Midland Trail.

The Marsh Fork BullDogs proved to be one of the BEST teams to play on the court. Pulling thru a devastating first game opening loss to long time rival Liberty(R) Raiders, the Bulldogs graced the floors. Mid season, match-up between #1 AA(Wyoming East) and #1 A(Marsh Fork) was the most exciting games anyone would see that year. In over time, the Bulldogs take the win with a last second breath taking shot by Stephen Dye. The bulldogs then finished the season with the states longest winning streak. Marsh Fork, as expected, went to states, only to fall unexpectly to Williamson in the first round. The BullDogs gave an exciting unforgettable season and have NOTHING to be ashamed of! Boys we proud of you!! remember.. there IS life outside of Marsh Fork for all of you...Good Luck!

BEST of the BEST
Marsh Fork v/s Woodrow

Many throughout the season wanted to see the Flying Eagles of Woodrow play the Marsh Fork Bulldogs to prove that size of the school doesnt mean the size of the game! The chance would come they said come the Scott Brown Tournament. Yet the chance was not so when Daniel and Stephen turned it down to play AAU. THEN, the chance yet again came when Marsh Fork invited the Eagles to come to their school to play seniors against seniors to raise money for Marsh Fork's project graduation. It wasnt so much to see them beat one another BUT to merly match-up DYE/ROSS DUNCAN/MANNS....could it be done? could the smaller school boys hang? the answer came with the game... YES they could and they did. Losing by only 3 points to the AAA Eagles! It was a good game indead!

BEST in the State
South v/s North

Top players from around the state are chosen to represent the area inwhich they live. Bring the best in the South part of the state against the Nouth of the state. Raleigh County was represented by three outstanding players. Marsh Fork's Stephen Dye and Daniel Duncan along with Woodrow's Mike Ross.
The South wore the fighting colors of Red while the North strutted in Blue.
Before the game took place, there was a three-point shoot out as well as a Slam Dunk contest. Not only were the contest swept by the South, the titles were given to Raleigh County players. Stephen Dye yet again proved to be the states top three-point shooter with six, and Mike Ross took the slam dunk contest after the tie was broken between him and L.B Booker from Capitol High School.
