From an IM conversation:
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:11:26 AM): I was thinking that I would write old west, but this ATF verse has its appeal as well...
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:22:05 AM): btw, I'm thinking of maybe trying to write a multi-pairing. Buffy, Dawn and Faith. I'm not sure if I'll try a Faith pairing, but Ezra will chase Dawn, who will resist most vehemently.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:22:20 AM): until she doesn't
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:22:32 AM): lol, I was just thinking last night that Dawn and Ezra would be a good pairing
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:23:14 AM): Lol Aw man. If you were a little older I'd say we were fraternal twins separated at birth.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:23:33 AM): it is a little scary at times.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:23:38 AM): But fun'
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:23:43 AM): definitely
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:24:20 AM): the only pairing that I could think of for Faith would be Chris or Buck... maybe Ezra, but he'd be something of a stretch, and I really like hooking him up with Dawn
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:26:26 AM): I don't know who I'd put Faith with. I was thinking Buck, only because they both have that opposite-sex chasing tendency. I'm also thinking that if I do it in the old west, they've been there a while and they're Pinkertons. But I wouldn't reveal that until much later. I see a rainstorm at the beginning. Three wealthy, young 'widows' on a stage. The stage gets robbed and all three are shot.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:26:57 AM): The driver gets killed and one of them makes their way through the storm to Chris' place in the wilderness season two.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:27:20 AM): sounds good.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:27:36 AM): And that was the reason I was thinking of placing Faith with Buck
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:27:53 AM): She'd match with Chris as well because of their darker natures
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:28:19 AM): Maybe some of the guys stayed over at Chris' to help him shoe the horses, or build a fence, or something... That's true. Re: Chris. I hadn't thought of that.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:28:42 AM): I'm still thinking Buck would be more fun. There will be plenty of angst with the Buffy/Vin pairing.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:29:52 AM): And there has to be a crime, a reason for them to be there. Maybe stage robbing. Or the army's payroll has been frequently robbed. Or cattle thieves. I don't know.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:30:10 AM): Buck would be more fun, I agree.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:30:28 AM): sounds like you've got a good start
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:30:45 AM): yay for Buffy and Vin!
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:30:48 AM): Oh no. I'm miles away. I'm just playing mentally.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:31:26 AM): I know. But the drama! Can you imagine... B: You live in a wagon? V: Yes, ma'am. B: And this wagon is parked in town?
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:31:51 AM): B: Oh. K.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:32:24 AM): lol
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:32:54 AM): Not that I think Buffy is a snob, but just... not old west-y
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:33:22 AM): I think she'd be a little put off by the wagon, I totally agree
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:36:56 AM): That's a good idea. I was thinking of dealing with the Buffy canon of not killing humans in this way... After establishing that there are no demons in this 'world' early on, at some point she says to Josiah: Some men are worth saving, and some are demons walking around in a man's skin.
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:37:21 AM): Yeah, bless his heart, Vin's not really thinking of accomodating a lady.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:37:37 AM): lol
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:37:46 AM): that's a good line, I like it lots
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:37:50 AM): a lot, sorry
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:38:03 AM): Either way, I'm glad you do!
krees_tee_nah (8/9/2006 11:39:06 AM): It just seemed to me, from the little I know about Old West history, some men went west and lost their minds. I mean, the killing was crazy back then.
melianightsilver (8/9/2006 11:40:09 AM): it was. It should be fun to watch the girls try to adapt to the new environment
