Leave No Evidence London November 10, 1981 Quentin Travers toyed with the little scrap of paper he had just decoded. His brow was creased and his lips were set in a deep scowl. Cursing softly, he kicked at the side of his desk. Slowly he stood and walked to the fireplace. Hesitating for a moment he dropped the paper into the smoldering coals. As the flames licked at the parchment, these words began to disappear: Project has been interrupted. Subject turned feral. Destroyed lab and several operatives. Gone to ground. Subject has been linked to control and activated. Danger to control and local populace eminent. All possible attempts at recovery have proved fruitless. Leave no evidence to trace back to us intact and we will do the same. We have found new test subject and will try again with a different control. Your participation is no longer necessary.
