This page goes off the Stargate topic a little bit. But I think it's an important piece of the puzzle here.
You'll have to excuse that I grew up overprotected and sheltered. I just now got cheap used copies of a couple of Zecharia Sitchin books recently. The 12th Planet and When Time Began. It's an interesting story, and I really want to know what all the books say. But I just hate to read. No matter how interesting or important, reading is the most boring thing you could ever do besides watching the grass grow.

It's also a little hard to get through these first chapters because of references to religion and the bible. As an aithiest/agnostic or whatever you want to call me, not in a million years could I begin to beleive the bible as fact.
But let's get to the point.
His idea is a little Goa'uld-like. Saying that human life came from aliens on another planet. If that were true, it would be believable that an alien species who creates humans would portray themselves as a god. But I don't accept any living being as a god no matter how much more advanced they are than us.
Well it all raises an interesting question. WHY do humans believe in a god? From cavemen to present day, people all over the world believed there were gods or a god and worshiped them. It's so illogical. Were people just created to not think for themselves?
