Break of Who???

In the summer of 2002 Guitarist/Vocalist Clayton Tillotson and Bassist/Vocalist Casey Fitzpatrick decided to give an old friend and drummer, Jacob Davis, a call. The last time either of them had played with Jacob was in 2000 when Casey and Jacob played in their school talent show.

The jam session that followed that day led to the forming of Break Of Day. They practiced usually twice a week and did covers of bands >like Blink 182, Green Day and The Red Hot Chii Peppers. Thier first show was on September 2, 2002 at Crapo Park in Burlington Iowa. Here they played with other bands that suported them all the way (thanks guys!!). For the most part, they were happy with their preformance. This led to their first paid show, that wasn't really a show at all. Break of Day played for a middle school dance on November 8, 2002. The crowds loved them! it was the first time anyone ever saw middle schoolers CROWD SURFING at their school dance!

Shortly after the dance though, something horrible happened. Another band named Break of Day was dicovered on the internet. They had been around longer, they were older, and worst of all, they were signed. This meant that the Break of Day from Burlington Iowa must CHANGE THEIR NAME!!!

Jacob really didn't care what the name was changed to(he had come up with the last one, so he saw his job as done!). So ever since then, Clayton and Casey have been trying to come up with a good name. there have been a few good ones, but no final decision has been made.
