The Blue Blazers will be opening up the Harrison County Parks and Recreation 2004-2005 season against an unknown opponent following at 9AM meeting Monday December 27. Two Blue Blazers will not be in attendance for this game. J.D. Lister, last year’s leading scorer and Mark Gorby award winner will not be in attendance and Brandon Hebron will be out of town.
Daniel Post and Cory Zinn will both be returning to the Blue Blazers following a short hiatus. Post last played briefly in the 2002-2003 season before becoming injured and Zinn last dawned the blue and white during the 2001-2002 season when he started as a freshman. Both players are charter members, having played as freshman during the first Blue Blazers year. They are now seniors.
Sam Tricase will be returning the Blue Blazers, marking his fourth year with the team. He coached the entire season and played in the preseason Christmas Tournament during the inaugural 2001-2002 season, played the entire 2002-2003 season, played in the 2003-2004 Christmas Tournament, and will now be coaching the 2004-2005. David Oliverio will also return as an interim coach during the Christmas Tournament. Oliverio coached the entire 2001-2002 season.
Warped Produkshuns will not be covering the Christmas Tournament due to a sudden illness in the family. We wish the crew member well and hope he will be able to return for the regular season with his family in full health.
