Eric Post Proves He Is No One Time Hack

He Clinches Titles Back to Back

By Steven Kennedy

Blue Blazers proved once against to be the premiere program in Harrison County Parks and Recreation basketball by defeating the Clarksburg Ballas 75-62 to climb a second consecutive post season title. The Blue Blazers had to climb uphill to win as they were down one game and needed a two game sweep to take the crown. Eric Post rallied his team with an inspiring speech that will go down through the ages. This is directly quoted from Eric Post before the semi-final match-up with the Beavers:

“Adversity is a funny thing. Nobody wants to face adversity as that makes everything harder, but it is only through adversity that we can find out who we are and what makes us. What comes easy doesn’t define you…you’re defined by what is hard. A lot of people give up when things get hard and run scared of “adversity.” The question is will “adversity” scare you. Win or lose this tournament, it does not matter. What matters is that we look “adversity” in the face and say ‘I’m not scared of a word no matter what it implies.’ Together we can accomplish anything and that includes overcoming ‘adversity.’ Together let’s make ‘adversity’ realize that it can intimidate the weak, but will never make a Blue Blazer cower.”

After the speech, the team went on a three-game tear to claim the championship. Eric Post said, “It was a thing of beauty seeing this team come together like that. This is a really special group of guys and it has been an honor to coach them.” Eric Post rides off to celebrate another great season after proving once again to be in a league all of his own.

History has always been written by the winners. The Blue Blazers have written another great chapter with terrific writers including Adonnis Beam, Ben Dufour, T.J. Flint, Adam Hill, Brandon McCollum, Justin Post, David Pumphrey, and Tyson White with remarkable revisions by Coach Post. The 2005-2006 Blue Blazers team was easy to fall in love with and will be hard to let go. It is a great time to be a Blue Blazer wherever you are!
