Blue Blazers Force Final Game

Blue Blazers Press

"One more game baby! One more game!"

A jubilant Tyson White screamed repeatedly as the Blue Blazers left the floor following a 59-45 victory over the Clarksburg Ballas which now forced one final game to decide the championship. Eric Post wouldn’t want it any other way.

"You play all season for this. Who wouldn’t want it to come down to one game anyways? That’s just great drama," a happy coach Post said.

But it wasn’t all smiles in a very physical match up. Hard fouls seem to set the tempo in a first half that saw Adonnis Beam go down after being hit in the face. But the Blue Blazers came out firing from the beginning and held a 29 to 19 lead at halftime.

There would be no miraculous fourth quarter tonight as the Blue Blazers held a double digit lead through the entire second half.

Brandon McCollum had another leading scorer night with twenty four points including 3 threes. Ben DuFour came off the bench to have 12 and David Pumphrey got his first start of the playoffs and answered the bell with a solid 11 point game, all of his points came in the second half. Adam Hill had 6, Adonnis Beam had 4, and Tyson White pitched in 2. T.J. Flint was held scoreless for the first time in his Blue Blazer career, but the boys in blue and white were able to overcome.

As he was leaving, Eric Post seemed to put it all in perspective.

"This game is in the past now. Put it in the history books. Tomorrow’s game is what matters."
