Post Comes Off the Fence to Join Blazers

By Steven Kennedy

Daniel Post has weighed his options and has decided forego his senior season at Notre Dame High School to dawn the blue and white of the Blue Blazers. He declined the option of minimal playing time and Junior Varsity action and decided to come to the team where he originially began his High School career. Members of the Blue Hole will remember Daniel Post as a promising young freshman scoring 62 points that season which continues to be the most points scored by a freshman. Daniel would move on to playing for the Notre Dame High School Fighting Irish Junior Varsity team for two years. Last year at Notre Dame, Daniel averaged 22.4 points per game by effectively using the 3-point line making 47 three-pointers. In the fall league, he barraged opponents to the tune of 28.8 points per game. He made 84 three-pointers in the fall league.

The Blue Hole, though has been happy for his success over the past couple of years, have always wanted Daniel to come back. Upon hearing the news of Daniel Post’s return, Blue Hole member John Smith said “WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE” followed by a “Gonads and Strife!” I talked to another man I saw that was painted blue so I assumed that he was a member of The Blue Hole and asked him about the situation. He did not speak to me so I punched him out for the rude gesture. It turns out he was a member of the Blue Man Group. I would like to apologize for that and beg you not to press charges.

When asked why come back to the Blue Blazers, Daniel Post responded “I would like to end where my career began, and I also want to go to a team that has a good offense. I also like that the offense doesn’t show favoritism.” He also said that his goals are “…winning a championship…” and “…break Shawn Williams record of 7 threes in a game.” He felt the two year layout will not affect his ability to work in the offense. As a side note, Grant Hill is the celebrity he wants most to be sodomized by the Gimp.

Coach Post was very excited by the addition. He feels this could really open his offense up. Coach Post said “It opens up everything. Now we have an outside shot that will compliment our inside game. I was worried because last year we didn’t have a pure 3 point shooter like a Mark Gorby or Shawn Williams and it hurt us, and before Daniel came we didn’t have one this year. So this will open up the inside game more which will definitely open up the schemes.” Team captain Jeremy Glass chimed in, “I think this year our line up is gonna be very strong and we’ll have a lot of good depth, and adding Daniel in the mix is gonna give us that solid shooting guard to make the team a whole.”

As a teammate of Daniel Post, I know that he will be a valuable asset to any team he is on as a player and his leadership. Some say “you can’t go home again” and to those people Daniel Post would say “F#$% You!”
