Timeline of the Universal Era
Timeline of the Cyber Ages:
A.D. 2025- Cybertech Inc. opened and began research on programming called AAI (Advanced Artificial Intelligence). In the same year, the M1 Drone was put into mass production. This quickly caused Cybertech Inc. to become a multi-billion dollar company. The M1 Drone replaced over 25 million men serving in worldwide military forces soon after it’s production, and became the deadliest weapon in it’s era of time.
A.D. 2046- The M2 Drone was created by Cybertech to replace the M1’s. The United States switched to the M2 after it’s release, and sold all of the old M1 units.
A world wide rebellion soon began. In the first 20 years however, it was an underground movement only few new of. The rebels who fought against Cybertech swore that they were not against technology, they were afraid that one day, machines may become so strong and self aware that they might overthrow humanity. If this should happen, the rebels prophesized, life would be almost impossible and they would exist to be the slaves of their own creation.
Eventually the rebel captains were captured and the loud voices that had once rallied in sake of their persecutors faded away and would lie dormant until they found a way to fight the invincible M2’s.
A.D. 3492- The rebel forces reemerged from their hiding with a new plan; they purchased all of the old M1 units as well as the M2’s when the M3 Drone was created by Cybertech Inc. They scrapped most of the units so they could develop weaponry to fight the M3 units. However, a few of the old M1 and M2 Drones were kept and reprogrammed into Drone Assassins to track down and destroy the M3’s.
A.D. 3499- Mass produced soldiers such as the M3 drones finally overtook the rebel (“anti-tech”) army. The few survivors to escape the fate which fell upon so many of their allies, unified and went into hiding to escape the deadly drones tracking them.
A.D. 3501- The remaining rebels were tracked down and eventually killed. Many rumors still linger about the truth of this; many say that Cybertech just said they dead to prevent any resistance, and others say that they were killed but a few men escaped to preserve their cause. Regardless, the nearly extinct survivors of humanity cling to this as hope to continue fighting the drones. The events occurring in this year was, considered by many historians, the end of the Cyber Age.
