Whippoorwill Farm

Welcome to our little "piece of heaven", Whippoorwill Farm, nestled at the top of the beautiful hills of West Virginia. Here, on our sixty acres, we share this farm with ABGA Boer goats, TWHBEA and PWHR Tennessee Walking horses, SBSBA Scottish Blackface sheep, ASPC Shetland ponies, AKC Shetland Sheepdogs, and Maremma livestock guardian dogs.

We purchased this farm in 1992; it had been almost thirty years since anyone lived here. Needless to say, we have spent many hours constructing a house, barns, sheds, and fences. No matter how much we get accomplished, there are always many more things needing to be done.

Our farm is surrounded on two sides by Plum Orchard State Park and Hunting Area; the other two sides of our farm adjoin timberlands owned by a railroad company. Our nearest neighbor is 1.5 miles away. After living with this kind of privacy, it would be hard to live anywhere else!
