Kevin squirmed in his seat and looked around the room anxiously. He heard a laugh to his right and turned toward it.
"Calm down, cousin." Brian said, leaning back in his chair and putting an arm around Leighanne's shoulder. "She'll be back."
"I know." Kevin said. "But she's been gone a while."
Leighanne had mercy on Kevin and leaned forward, placing her hand on his. "She just went to the bathroom, Kev. She'll be back."
Kevin smiled at her and nodded as Lily finally appeared by his side.
"Lil! We were just talking about you!"
Lily smiled over at Brian and turned to her husband. "Sorry I took so long, AJ forced me to the dance floor."
"It's ok, we weren't worried about you." Kevin said and shot Brian a warning look when he made a laughing sound. He returned his eyes back to his wife and drew in a breath. He couldn't get over how spectacular she looked tonight, at this formal party they were attending, in her long, gold evening gown and her red hair falling freely.
"I'll tell you what Mrs. Richardson," he said as he pulled her into his lap. "If I wasn't already in love with you, I would be now."
Lily smiled at him and started to respond but the music that was playing caught her attention. "Kevin I love this song, come dance with me."
Kevin agreed and allowed her to drag him on to the dance floor. As the words to the song began, Lily quietly sung every word to him, Lookin him deep in the eyes.
