When they reached his house they silently walked in. The first thing Drew wanted was a hot bath. "I'm seriously jet lagged, Kev. Think I could have a bath?"
"Of course." he answered and led her to the nearest bathroom. She thanked him and he left the bathroom to retrieve her a set of towels and washcloths. When he returned, she was already in the tub, submerged under the many bubbles. She didn't hear him come in so she didn't turn toward him. Silently, he watched her as she lay still in her bath.
She'd taken a pencil and used it to hold her uptwisted hair and she rested her head on the edge of the tub. Her eyes were closed and Kevin didn't want to disturb her. But he had to. He had to have his answers now.
He walked over to her and knealt down by the tub. "Tell me what happened." he said softly.
Drew smiled slightly without opening her eyes. "I was never really in any danger."
"Never in any danger?! You--!"
Derw put a hand up to cut him off. "Listen." she said, then continued. "They told you that I got too close, didn't they? Did you every wonder how I got so close when you couldn't get withing a block of the place?" Drew finally opened her eyes and put her hand over his. "They told me you were there. Thank you, Kevin.
Kevin picked up her hand and pressed her fingers to his lips, silently urging her to continue. She closed her eyes again and went on. "A few days after I got there, the police had still not gotten anywhere. They needed someone on the inside to determine their plan. They came to me because I was the journalist with the most credibility there."
"Why didn't one of them go in? A police officer?" he asked.
"Like I told you before, they'd planned this out well. The police couldn't rund the risk of the criminals knowing they were police. And even if they had found out I was a journalist, it wouldn't have made a difference. So, the police came to me, wired me and set me up so they'd pull me in. When I got in there I was amazed at how well this was planned, they even had weeks' worth of food in there. I got the leader talking and eventually he told me abotu the guards, where they were posted and how many there were. The police used the information to get us out of there."
Kevin took a moment to digest what she'd told him and then asked softly "Why didn't you tell me? I was worried out of my mind."
Drew opened her eyes again and said "I couldn't call. They didn't give me time, plus, they didn't want to risk it. Only a few people knew." Kevin nodded and once again they fell into silence. Kevin watched her as seh soaked int he tub and relished the feel of the warm water on her skin.
He watched her slowly and sensually raise jer leg and bring her razor to it to shave it. kevin stayed with her for as long as he could before he stood up to leave. She raised questioning eyes up to him but he only kissed her softly before leaving.
He walked trhough his house slowly and made his way upstairs to the bathroom there. As he entered the room and started to disrobe, he thought of Drew, downstairs in the bathtub. He was relieved beyond words that she was alright and never in any danger to begin with but that wasn't what he was thinking of now. In his mind, he was seeing her raise her long, tanned leg out of the water to shave it. His breath had quickened at that moment and he knew he head to get out of there. But he oculdn't seem to get his legs to obey him. He stayed there minutes longer, torturing himself, until he couldn't take it anymore and he left the room.
Now, standing in his upstairs bathroom, he took a few deep breaths and tried to shake the image from his mind. he stepped into the shower and turned it to the coldest temperature he could stand.
After he showered, he went downstairs. It was getting late and Drew was probably hungary. He was thinking to himself as he walked through the house.
He walked to his bedroom, expecting to find Drew in there drying her hair or something. What he found was DRew lying on his bed, fast asleep. He smiled down at her and touched her cheek tenderly before lying down beside her, pulling her to him and falling asleep himself.

The next morning, Kevin woke up to the sounds of female giggling. Frowning he tried to place who would be giggling at his house and then remembered Drew returning the night before. He smiled as he opened his eyes, only to frown the second he got them open.
What he found when he opened his eyes was AJ, leaning over Drew and showering her face with kisses. As fast as lightening, Kevin's hand reached out and grabbed AJ's shirtfront and jerked him so that their faces were mere inches apart.
"What in the hell do you think you're doing?" he growled out.
AJ grinned into Kevin's face and said "Why Kevin, I kinda like this new you."
"What are you talking about?"
"Jealous, anxious, mean. But mostly jealous." he said with the grin still on his face. Kevin, realizing that AJ was making a deliberate ploy to rile him, shoved him away and asked grouchily "What are you doing here?"
AJ stood and straightened his clothing and then said "Well, incase you've forgotten, you kinda dissapeared out of an important meeting yesterday. To say the least, management was a little pissed. Then when you didn't show up this morning for another meeting, they were a little pissed again. You wouldn't answer your telephone so they sent me out here to get you."
Kevin sighed. He knew he was going to get bitched out as soon as he got to the studio. He was very reluctant to go but he finally resigned himself to the fact that he had to.
"Ok." he told AJ. "Get out so we can get dressed." AJ nodded and left the bedroom.
As soon as he was out of the room, Kevin turned and looked at Drew. She looked back up at him silently. "I'm gonna kill him." he said to her. She laughed at him and he leaned down to kiss her. Their lips met and the same old spark flashed between them. Kevin groaned as he deepened the kiss and moved to slide his hand up her body.
At that moment, AJ appeared at the door. "Guys, this isn't very productive to getting dressed so we can get the hell out of here." He said with exaggerated patience and quickly ducked out when a pillow came flying at his head.
Sighing loudly, Kevin got out of bed and the two of them got dressed. When they were ready to go Kevin looked at her and suddenly didn't want to be seperated from her. "Come with me." he requested softly.
Drew smiled and said "Kev, I've been away from home for weeks. I need to get some things in order."
Kevin nodded, understandingly and said "Have dinner with me tonight?" Drew agreed and they left the house along with AJ.
Kevin drove Drew to her house and gave her a small kiss on her lips before she left the car. "Bye, angel." he said and she was gone. Kevin drove to the studio and surprisingly wasn't worried about getting yelled at when he got there. His mind was completly on the upcoming evening and his dinner date with Drew.
