Chapter 4 -- Players

4.1 Conduct

Players should adhere to the following “Players Code:”

1. Play the game for the game’s sake.

2. Be generous when you win; be graceful when you lose.

3. Be fair always, no matter what the cost.

4. Obey the laws of the game.

5. Work for the good of your team.

6. Accept the decision of the officials with good grace.

7. Believe in the honesty of your opponents.

8. Conduct yourself with honor and dignity.

4.2 Participation in the Recreational Program

Players on RVSC teams may also play on a WCSA recreational team. RVSC coaches should make every attempt to allow for an appropriate level of participation in recreational team practices, and for play in a scheduled recreational game.

If a player on a RVSC team chooses to also play on a WCSA recreational team, the player must complete the season as a member of the recreational team. If the player quits the recreational team, or is removed from the recreational team for cause as specified in WCSA’s Recreational Guidelines, that player will be removed immediately from his/her RVSC team’s roster for the current season. RVSC coaches should inform players and parents of this rule in the event a player decides to play on a recreational team.
