BEAR HOWSE FUN DAY

We've received a report and a nice batch of photos from the recent Cincinnati Fun Day.

The project was titled "Bear Howse Fun Day". The houses and a small jointed bear will be donated to Bethany House Emergency Shelter before Christmas.

The original Bear Howse was designed and created by Barbara and Randy Himes. Sandie Cummings and a committee of many turned it into a project arranging making the kits, scheduling a meeting place, providing refreshments and door prizes. Each member of the club who wished to attend was given a free kit and the option to purchase additional kits. There was some homework to do before arriving and each member was asked to bring their own tools and paints. Completed samples were on each table for those who had questions about finishing details. We worked from 12:00 to 4:00 pm with a break at 2:00 for desserts. There were door prizes every half hour and lots of fun was had by all.

Thanks so much for sharing this project with all of us!
