Bombalurina is the 'playgirl' of the junkyard. She loves to flirt with all the toms, and isn't above using her feminine wiles to get what she wants. She's a distinctive red and white queen that's easy to spot in the junkyard. She and the Rum Tum Tugger have a kind of love/hate relationship - they love to flirt with each other, but neither wants to be tied up.

Bom's best friend is Demeter, and the two are often spotted together. At the Jellicle Ball, Bom, Dem, and Jellylorum help Munkustrap sing about Jennyanydots the Gumbie Cat. Bom also helps sing about the Rum Tum Tugger, Grizabella the Glamour Cat (again with Demeter), Bustopher Jones, and Macavity the Mystery Cat (and again with Demeter). There is a rumour that there was or is some type of relationship between Macavity and Bombalurina, but no-one knows for sure.
