This first rug is from an old issue of Needlepoint News magazine and was designed by Sallie Evans. She called it "Medallions" and explains that it is based on designs popular in the mid-to-late 1800's. It is worked here on 22 count mono canvas using DMC floss and on my screen, at least, is pretty much actual size (5-1/2" x 7"). I think this rug would be beautiful in blue and tan also and hope to do that "someday". $200.00.

My second new rug is a design by June Grigg, a popular designer of dollhouse miniature patterns. The colors are more softly muted than the picture shows. She designed this rug for a special "sun room" type setting and it would also be lovely in a bedroom. It's size is 4-1/8" x 6-1/2" not including the grosgrain ribbon-style fringe at both ends. It is worked on 24 count Congress cloth with DMC flosses. $125.00.

SOLD - This is a little nursery rug that was sold before it was finished - the lady who bought it wanted to frame it, so miniature works don't always end up in dollhouses! I think this rug and its little blue partner have a very "hooked rug" look.

This little rug is a partner to the pink rug. They are both from designs by Suzanne McNeill for Kept in Stitches. Both rugs measure approx. 3-1/2" x 2-1/2". They are stitched on 22 count canvas using three strands of DMC floss. The price is $35.00 for either rug - you can special order the pink if you would like to have that one.

This rug design is from the Dover book "Miniature Needlepoint Rugs" and rather than work it in the three colors suggested, I chose just the blue and cream because I wanted it to have the look of Chinese blue and white porcelain. This rug measures approximately 4-1/2" x 6" on 22 count canvas and has hand knotted fringe. $75.00.

SOLD - This is my first rug on 40 count gauze - a Savonniere rug about 4" x 5" worked on 40 count silk gauze using one strand of silk floss. The picture truly does not do it justice, but it's the best I can do. This is a rug design by Joan Adams whose patterns are absolutely lovely. $325.00.

I'm always working on a rug, so if you have some special need, I'd be happy to talk with you about it and see if I have any patterns that might work for you.

...
These are some examples of my 1/4" scale rugs. Each rug is a little different, but the orientals are all worked on red fabric with blue, green and gold stitches and have hand knotted fringe and the florals are all worked on cream fabric with fabric fringe or glued-on fringe. The orientals sell for $30.00 each and the florals sell for anywhere from $10 to $30.00 depending on the size and complexity. If you have a special need in your little 1/4" dwelling, I would be happy to work with you regarding colors, style, etc.
