~Unicorn Poems~

Unicorns

With wings or with horns

Soaring up high or cavorting below

There is just one thing you need to know

When you are blue And feeling so down

This message is for you

To take away that frown.

Though we cant see them

Or find it hard to believe

They havent forgotten us

Just look in your heart and you will see

The hope and the love

That has been left to you

A gift and a fantasy

Lives always in you.

Unicorns, Unicorns

Majestic creatures with magic horns

They prance and play

By night and by day

With love in their hearts

That hatred can't break apart

Happiness and joy

Be it a boy or a girl

Because a unicorn is pure

Oh, such a beautiful cure

If only people could have such feelings

But sorrow and hate seem so appealing

That we cant be happy as they

And love, dance, and play all of the day

If only our hearts could in some little way

Be as pure as a unicorn

We would be reborn

And love like an angel

To everyone we know

Instead of depravity dragging us low.

So remember to hope,

To love and to dream

And maybe some day

Life will be happy and serene.

MY DREAM

Last night I had the dream of dreams.

He appeared through moonlight beams.

A Unicorn with eyes of silver blue, Softly brushed the breeze on winter's dew.

An illusion of beauty, gracing his horn was a shining star.

Star dust in his snow white mane, glittered from afar.

He hung a bright rainbow above my bed.

Soft Aurora colors danced 'round my head.

They say he's made of dreams and fantasy.

But, look! He's here in the room with me!

With spirited voice he spoke of his home in the sky.

A castle in the clouds, delicate like a lover's sigh.

I told him he was just like me, a lone creature of the night.

And begged him stay and fill me with his joy and sheer delight.

But he then told of places where his fantasy is born.

He must be off before the sky brought on the early morn.

Do not forsake me, Unicorn! I beseech, do not go away!

He replied, "I will return when the moon chases off the day."

Then light appeared through window's dawn.

I opened up my eyes and he was gone. With heavy heart I wait in hopes of Aurora's rainbow streaming.

When he returns to my moonlit night of fantasy and dreaming.
