"You came to the Ocean of Responsibility looking for answers, and the tide hissed life, death, life, death, life, death and you chose, and the truth was there was always some of the one clinging to the other." - William Browning Spencer Zod Wallop

things happen and when they happen we try to justify them but sometimes its not so easy so maybe all i'm trying to do here is justify life and maybe i didn't so such a good job but i think i've made a friend is this little fellow despair so maybe that was the point all along. these are my stories though. some are true some are not, some were based on things and others weren't. but you'll just have to figure those things out for yourself. i'm leaving it all up to you.

"rippling silence":
    i don't understand this one really. i think it's sort of a summation of how futile some things are or maybe it's just one of those late-night things that pop into my head. i can't remember.

"inside your eyes":

    this is just one of those things sprung from a misheard phrase and a bit too much thinking. it was going to be an actually story but walked out on me half-through.

"believing reality":

    i forget exactly the background to this one. it's one of those from the time when i was still adjusting to being on my own friend-wise. i think it might be one of the most honest things i've ever written about me.

"illusions":

    i wrote this a couple weeks after moving to ireland. i went outside one evening and witnessed of those truly spectacular sunsets, came home, and jotted this down.

"kill all the birds":

    an english assignment. not the best of things but i'm somewhat fond of it. and it's the first full-length script i've written myself so. enjoy
"the mind's smoky cafe":
    written around the same time as "despair's interview." maybe someday i'll come through and untangle it for everyone but for now think of it as a sort of "girl-telling-close-friend-of-someone-else."

"despair's interview":

    i wrote this awhile back when things weren't exactly so peachy. kind of goes with that found in "lucien's dream."

"arty" or "a frog, a goat, 2 snakes and a chameleon":

    written for my composition assignment in which we had to write something about animals. sort of a look at religion. sort of a joke about me and a few other friends.

"the painting":

    another writing assignment for comp. class. this one for the wv young writers competition. wond 1st in the state. i still can't figure this one out but everyone else seems to like it.

    "dream":

      i don't know exactly where this came from. i guess it's just one of those things you think of when you're sitting up at 3 am watching television and wondering what you're going to do next.
