lips parted
as if to speak
but silent they remain
no words to passing for eternity
silence
faces a smooth glistening
mask
of pretension
rest
can you look into their
blank
soulless
eyes
stiff solid limbs outstretched
like the cold pleading arms
of
the damned
tell me
do they love
do they forgive
do they feel
do they accept
for who
lost among them
escapes
his soul unscathed
