
James E. “Mac” MacPherson has been selected as a new member in the 2001 edition of the International WHO’S WHO of Professional Management Historical Society. His selection is a direct result of having demonstrated exemplary achievement and distinguished contributions to the business community throughout his multiple careers. An excerpt from the citation states, “He is a goal oriented, dedicated professional who is considered a leader and role model in his multiple fields of expertise”.The society's stringent selection process guarantees that only the most accomplished individuals in their respective fields are accepted into the society.MacPherson is currently employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company located in Newport News, Virginia and administers their Energy Management program. Previously, he was instrumental with implementing the company's Total Quality Management program resulting with the company becoming renowned as a “World Class Shipyard”. He joined Newport News Shipbuilding in July of 1988 following an honorable twenty-two year career in the U.S. Air Force. MacPherson attributes his successes to a quality family upbringing and continual personal and professional development through life experiences.The
