Nostalgia 1907, released in 1991 by Sur De Wave, was never released in the US. You are to solve a mystery on an ocean liner ship for which someone has hidden a bomb. You must locate the bomb and disable it or else you'll be responsible for all the lives lost on it. Interact with characters and ask questions resulting clues about the mysterious bomber. Hours of actual speech (Japanese) is accompanied by dialogue onscreen. Trial and error was most of the play I was dealing with but the choices you have (displayed in a chart at the bottom of the game screen) make the character's actions change before you select it which helps to get some answers from certain characters. OK. So I've FINALLY (after 3+ years) finished this game. There are only 4 Actions (with the first choice being I'm guessing a prelude or something). I have finally figured out how to disable the bomb and after that, there isn't much left in the game to do to finish it. So at the end of this review, I'll give a full small guide as to how to disable the bomb from start to finish. This game reminds me of Sherlock Holmes for the TG-16 and Sega CD but better with less loading time since there is no FMV in it. Nostalgia also comes with a soundtrack that is very good.

ACTION 4, PART 2

DISABLING THE BOMB

So far, I've come across 3 bombs in the game and all of them are the exact same. But I don't remember trying to diable any of the bombs early on in the game until the last part (ACTION 4, PART 2) but it's fine though because all of them are the same. If anyone who's played this game and gotten this far, consider yourself lucky to be reading this if you're the type of person who can't read Japanese and who doesn't have much patience to sit and listen to dialogue you can't understand and all that. I have 16 steps to go by in doing this. So here goes.

Remember that whenever you're in this section of the game and a message box appears with 3 different options to choose from, starting from the top down, the first option is, "unscrew", second is, "cut", and last is, "bypass".

STEP 1: First, unscrew the panel by selecting the first option in the screen.

STEP 2: Choose option 3 and bypass the wires using the longest wire (going further over the capacitor unit).

STEP 3: Choose option 2 and select the red wire to cut and cut it after a bit of dialogue.

STEP 4: Choose option 1 and select the right panel to unscrew.

STEP 5: Choose option 1 and select the screw under the motion sensor to take out.

STEP 6: Choose option 3 and bypass the blue and red wires.

STEP 7: Choose option 2 and select the top right red wire to cut.

STEP 8: Choose option 2 and select the blue wire to cut.

STEP 9: Choose option 1 and select the small right panel to unscrew.

STEP 10: Choose option 3 and bypass the red and blue wires.

STEP 11: Choose option 1 and unscrew the next panel (the only panel with a screw to the far left).

STEP 12: Choose option 2 and cut the blue wire in the left panel.

STEP 13: Choose option 2 again and cut the red wire in the same panel.

STEP 14: Choose option 1 and unscrew the panel

STEP 15: Choose option 1 again and unscrew the small right panel.

STEP 16: Choose option 2 and cut the blue wire.

BOMB DISABLED!!!

After that, there will be a few cinema scenes and a small part to which you must act upon another character. I had chosen the middle choice out of the 3 and it worked. Now you can sit back and enjoy the ending! Good luck and I hope this helps anyone out!
