Earnest Evans, released in 1991, is an action game that is the prequel to El Viento. Why this game was released in the US on a cart rather than a CD by Renovation is beyond me. All the characters from the other games in the series are in this one too. The gameplay is solid with various character movements. Some of the movements are like that of Treasure games, but no where near as good. Music is good and sound effects are Wolfteam (same sounds used in their other games). Cinema scenes play after each stage is completed to help the story along.
