This title (recently released) is spectacular! Although I'm roughly mid way through the game (hard as hell!!!), the graphics (2D!!!), control, music, and gameplay are excellent! The cover art isn't so bad either. This game was never brought out to the US until 10-10-01. It was released in Japan in 1986 for the X68000 PC. You can play as either original (PC) or arranged mode (new character animation and overall character change with arranged CV tunes). Another plus is the disc has an interview with the game designer on it. Which talks about his previous works and upcoming games. 2 of which are hinted at CV III and Dracula X (PC Engine CD Duo). There are only 30K copies released throughout the US (I personally bought 2 copies). Now that I've finished the game in both original and arranged mode, the arranged mode has the better ending. The stage graphics were very nice but control could have been better. Otherwise a great Castlevania game!
