Annette Again (Anet Futatabi) by Wolfteam for the Mega CD was never released in the US. This game is the sequel to El Viento on the Mega Drive/Genesis. Earnest Evans, Zigfried, and even Restiana are in the game but not as playable characters. The game is pretty much similar to Bare Knuckle and Golden Axe. It's a side scrolling action game. The problems with this game is that the enemies are very repetitive and their AI is very weak. Your magic builds up with different effects when you don't use it. Although the bosses at the end of each stage are easy once you know their pattern, you can't use magic on them. Cinema scenes tell the story throughout the game and there is one after every stage you complete. Very good techno/rock music. Sound effects are average. If this game was anywhere near as good as El Viento was with gameplay and magic abilites, I'd say it's worth owning. Only someone wanting to know more on the story in the Earnest Evans/El Viento series should buy it. The whole presentation of actual play is easily noted as "rushed".
